Take whatever the average q time is in anything wow and multiply it by 3. That is your real average q time.
hehe. so far my worst was 4 min avg but took 32 mins in queue (with 3 restarted due to a dps not taking the invite) 
pretty sure the queues are weird because it’s a heroic piece for the reward so there are lots of folks queueing up
yea for the past 4-6 hours on and off i did around 6 dungeons and each dungeon had an average wait time of vetween 4 to 11 mins and the fastest so far i got into a dungeon was around 22mins. 1 of the dungeons i waited up to 40mins with a 4mins average wait time.
i watched my last que and it started around 11mins average wait time then after being in the que for around 16mins the average wait time went down to 7 mins. then after being in que for 24 mins the average wait time was down to 3mins. dont make sense. something bugged or broken.
quick edit: in a new que and average wait time is 4 mins and time in que is 29 mins

but how will they know how long it’s going to take?
I’m guessing it depends on your server(s). Personally, my queues haven’t been any longer than a couple of minutes so far.
- they have been this “bad” forever.
2 . you have a full week to do time walking
if you want to get in fast, roll a tank or healer. as a dps you should be used to it

Gross. I only level in timewalking because Dragonflight content is boring and slow. Timewalking dungeons are fast, easy, and give a lot of XP… when you can actually get a queue to pop.
I did make it to 70 though!

No, it’s the average wait time of members of the last group that got in.
and when i said that people don’t like tanking in my “don’t make evoker third spec to be tank”, some people did not believed me…
well look at that, guess i was right… another infinite dps on the queue because there is no tank on queue
Having more tank specs won’t increase the number of tanks.
People who are going to tank would be tanking already.
i like the ones where its like estimated wait time <1 min, time in queue: 50 mins

Before taking a short break, I made it to 9 level 70s, and each one of them is at 400+. On average, it takes me about a week to go from level 1 to level 70 at 400 ilvl.
And that’s using less than half my a55. If you’re only leveling via dungeon queue, especially as a dps, you’re 1,000% doing it wrong.

Regardless, it’s not the actual wait time it will take YOU. It’s a guess.

I’m also wondering if there was a bug earlier in the day or something. Because while I was reading these complaints (and there WERE several reports of long wait times, to be fair) I was queuing as tank/healer with no issue. So on my third toon, I opted for DPS only just to see, and my wait times were less than 5 minutes. This was in the evening.
I think sometimes the queue bugs out? If mine goes on for too long, I requeue and it usually fixes itself. I did not have to requeue at all yesterday, though.
What gets me is when the queue pops, someone doesn’t accept, so it says I’m back at the front of the queue, only to then have to wait just as long as I’ve already waited to get another invite.
