DISREGARD
Maybe this should be posted in professions instead — not sure which is meta for making gold.
I am a player unfamiliar with current content tier. For someone, untalented in the game, what kind of gold can be made, per hour, farming whatever is most efficient in current content?
I am assuming that, over the past previous expansions, the developers keep a consistent cap on how much GPH can be made on new content, so I’m assuming that typical range is consistent.
you want GPH in a dungeon? in 6 days Midnight launches so any info given now will be outdated by a large amount. Right when expansion hits roll tailor, spend as many spec points in tailor as it takes, and do follower dungeons for Midnight, if it’s the same as War Within there will be lots of cloth to be had early on, probably more profitable than mining/herbalism.
*Even today Dawnweave is still going for quite a bit, but other cloths are pretty low now.
P.P.S. devs don’t really cap any amount of player earnings. you’re paying the sub, you don’t get timegated on regular drops, anything you kill is a loot pinata with the same amount of rewards as it had 3 hours ago even if you farm the same spot.
Are professions, routinely, the best gold source? Over combat for mats?
Thank you for the swift response, btw.
Combat for materials doesn’t really exist aside from, again, literally being a tailor and then you will get tailoring drops from enemies. Otherwise you need to use gathering professions to get materials.
Well…. You can get the like meat of the enemies during a new expansion and maybe some random reagents that might be useful but profession gathering including tailoring will always be much higher.
