Avatar of the storms not working fully

Hello all, feeling a little shafted here as I believe these two skills SHOULD interact with each other given the wording of the skills, so can someone in the wow skills department or wherever fix this to work as it is worded.
the talents in question are Avatar of the Storm.
description from tooltip
Talent
Requires Warrior
Casting Avatar grants you 2 charges of Thunder Blast and resets the cooldown of Thunder Clap.
While Avatar is not active, Lightning Strikes have a 10% chance to grant you Avatar for 4 secs.
Thunder Blast
Your next Thunder Clap becomes a Thunder Blast that deals Stormstrike damage.

and Titan’s Torment
description from tooltip.
Talent
Requires Warrior
Activating Avatar casts Odyn’s Fury and activating Odyn’s Fury grants 4 sec of Avatar.

Should activating Odyns Fury not in fact Proc Avatar of the storms. and vice versa with avatar of the storms proccing avatar should ALSO proc Odyns fury.?? i do believe they should.

Hello, in this case the wording is important.

For instance Titans Torment specifically mentions “activate the ability” aka the player pressing a button to activate the ability.

Meanwhile Avatar of the Storm says “has a chance to grant you” being granted the ability aka getting the proc does not satisfy Titans Torment condition for activating the ability.

the avatar of the storms also does NOT reset the cooldown of thunderclap. i belive it is simply broken and not coded correctly.
i also point out the fact that the wording is Activating Avatar casts Odyn’s Fury and activating Odyn’s Fury. activating being the key word for titans torment not cast… yet you CAST both spells to activate each other in titans torment.

in this case, the term activating and cast are both used for the same effect on both avatar AND odyns fury. titans torment in short CASTS both abilities.

This seems normal given the wording

Casting is used here, it’s essentially the same as activating.

The Avatar proc from Avatar of the Storm is not being cast, it’s being granted.

While the language is not consistent between talents it means the same thing. You can probably chalk it up to the talents having been created 2 years apart.

Yes but also no, Pressing Avatar does cast OF at full effectiveness, as for pressing OF it grants you a shorter duration Avatar so it’s not exactly a 1:1.

Casting Avatar grants you 2 charges of Thunder Blast and resets the cooldown of Thunder Clap.
its literally in the tool tip.
Granted, activated and cast. are all doing the same thing in this regard. there is no difference as it works between avatar and odyns fury despite the wording.
and as stated. whether it is cast pressed activated or granted. avatar is still on the character. OF recognizes this as does avatar, avatar of the storms also does the same things. there is a missing hook in their coding that is stopping these from interacting the same way, which should interact given how it is worded. IF avatar turns on for any reason. avatar of the storms SHOULD be proccing which it isn’t. given that it does NOT reset the cooldown of thunderclap i would think this skill has missed some final polish during beta and should be looked at by the devs to either explicitly state that it ONLY interacts when you hit the button or whether it activates whenever you have the avatar effect(which it currently suggests.)

Yes, I am not claiming otherwise either, when you cast Avatar you get 2 charges.

This functions as intended.

This isn’t the case, there are some big difference between casting/activating and being granted.

Casting nearly always refers to the player actively pressing a button or an ability being cast as if the player had casted it

Being granted means you gain the effect of but did not cast the ability.

Titans Torment makes Avatar cast OF causes OF to Grant 4 seconds of Avatar

No the Hero talent specifically states Casting Avatar

The Avatar you gain from casting OF or from the Avatar of Storm Proc is not a casted Avatar.

The wording is what’s important and both Talents function as they should based on the wording.
