Do I look like I give a hoot about who has raid lead?
Hint: No. No I do not.
Do I look like I give a hoot about who has raid lead?
Hint: No. No I do not.
You didnāt answer my question.
Now hereās someone who needs to be bullied into a silence
my overwatch account was silenced for over 500 days as the bans keep increasing for each successive one
You can get in contact with Customer Support and have the action against your account appealed. It will take a few days. But it should reset the flags on your account and āhopefullyā lead to actions against those who abused the system.
I get silenced fairly regularly on the forums. It usually doesnāt stick.
Thereās more than just a āSuspensionā, but oneās Reputation. The Rumormill likes to spread a lot of misinformation and paints people, a certain way. So, when one canāt speak for themselves, and those that want to cause harm, tarnishes your Reputation, without giving you the opportunity, to explain yourself because theyāve essentially āshut you upā. And that type of environment encourages more false Reporting, and youāre not taken, seriously. Youāre forever viewed as a ājokeā. Itās much bigger than just a āSuspensionā which isnāt even the worst part.
I reiterate, being silenced on the forums does not ruin your life and, listen closely to this one: your reputation on a video game forum is NOT important to your life.
I started a thread about the need to stomp out this sort of garbage yesterday and was mocked and called a care bear.
Itās garbage and we donāt need it in the game.
Anyone abusing this system by mass reporting in av to get accounts muted should be temp banned (few days). Bans for this behavior have happened before and are justified as it restricts access on your account that you already paid for such as being able to communicate with other players in an mmo.
Premades in av are creating a whole new level of toxic community, not only for the other faction, but their own as well.
I think he means your attitude is the wrong one to have.
And I reiterate itās not really about the Silence, itself. Oneās Reputation in a Video Game, in general, isnāt important, in life, in general, however facing adversity, in a Video Game World, that involves other people, is not fun. Itās not fun having to endure adversity, on a daily basis, when weāre all here to play a Game, for fun. Harassing other players based on hearsay is not fun. And that does ruin oneās Gaming Life. Itās still a part of your life.
Is it important? Not really. But it sure as heck, is not fun.
Pathetic trolls or others who abuse the report system will tell you you deserved it, that you were doing something terribly wrong by not passing lead and doing everything else they say.
Iām just curious what is with this trend of not passing lead. IF YOU ARE NOT GOING TO LEAD JUST PASS IT OVER. Donāt be a petty pos. Yes their threat was dumb, but you not passing it over because you didnāt want āRaid warningsā is horse
Itās completely irrelevant. This is about abusing game systems to kick someone offline, which should absolutely get you banned.
Right, players dealing with players using the systems they have available to them. A GM is not going to magically log on and pass lead. They asked him, he said no and gave some garbage reason.
Again they shouldnāt have threatened him, but they have no other tools.
What Blizzard should do is, next Tuesday, compile a list of people who abused reporting features, and temp-ban them for 7 days.
Your name isnāt Dahlgren.
Do you believe that if he was going to attempt to lead that they would have treated him any differently? Yes if he had no intention of leading there is no good reason not to pass itā¦ that said you are missing the point of his post completely. It is how systems are getting abused and people are being falsely punished.
I had games where people spammed raid warnings. I had another game where some jerk would put one class type into a group, and no matter how many times i tried to make proper groups, he would change them back. Never know who your gonna get in an AVā¦
