AV premades need to return

The map is inherently imbalanced. I know that the Alliance doesn’t try anymore - believe me, I know it - but you have to understand that in a competitive or semi-competitive setting when the odds are shifted one way or another, often times the handicapped party is simply going to say ‘%#$@ this.’ And that’s what the current state of AV is: ‘%#$@ this.’

Since Blizzard appears to be unwilling to put in either minimal (moving the Horde cave) or modest (rebuilding the original release-version of AV with trolls, elites, etc. that everyone loved) effort to rectify the current unsustainable situation, then the ‘solution’ of most miniscule demand is to rollback the premade block.

Is this the best course of action? Nope. Will it make AV ultra enjoyable? Nuh uh. But it’s the one that requires the absolute least labor on Blizzard’s behalf, so it’s what we should be pushing for (because it should be crystal clear by now that Ion & co. HATE Classic and don’t want to do anything that might draw one iota of production “value” away from live).

Go ahead, I don’t care

PvP over all is a real $#~! show. The entire pvp system needs fixing. None of it is working smoothly, and many are taking advantage of the broken system.

Fix all of it. Not just your issue.

Lol no, the premade AV were broken.

Game was never meant to have 6 min AV.

Game was never meant to have 3 hour horde queues.

Game was never meant to have 99% horde win rate.

You can still premade AV, just need some patience and voice.

Why do you guys care so much about AV?

The AV meta involved almost zero pvp, switching the meta to AB and WSG means that at least people have to pvp for pvp ranks.

AV has always been the worst BG, and it should stay in its current state so that the only people actually queueing for it are rep farmers. AV not being the best way to grind honor is a good thing.

Because Alliance would also like rep items??

Why didn’t you get your rep when Alliance were winning on 6 minutes and getting exalted after just 1 or 2 days?

So who cares about any other players or characters made after that very small time period?

Do you think it’s fast for Horde players to gain rep either? You can do 3-4 games in the time it takes a Horde player to do 1.

Grinding rep sucks for everyone now, that’s the price you pay for being behind the curve. It’s way harder to get groups for Ony/MC and even BWL attunements now than it was initially, do those things need to be changed too?

Is the map stopping you from getting attuned?? It sure is stopping alliance from winning AV.

You’re right, the map was really holding you guys back when you were coordinated enough to win every game in 6 minutes. I’m sure you could have cut that time down to 3 minutes if it wasn’t for the map.

If you know how AV worked for the meta when it was first released with honor you would understand why it was like that.

You can actually youtube meme’s of how 40 people on each side rode by each other, horde going for LT’s and balinda and Alliance rushing to drek. That meta was about honor per hour.

I guess having a 99% win rate in AV is just because youre far better than the Alliance right?

Yes it is inbalanced. In favor of the Alliance.
Haven’t you ever thought that during this premade shenanigans, it was only Alliance winning? Why did the horde not just try to race to Vann? Because they couldn’t.

That’s news to us. Horde have told us for four months we lose at AV because we suck at pvp.

Not because clear map advantages.

Because for the three days that this worked, we skipped Galv and horde stopped at Balinda.

There is videos of horde winning in 3m in an all out race.

The reason horde didn’t race to vann is simply because the meta was honor per hour, alliance won the games at the start because to they literally ran by each other, Alliance ran to drek and did nothing else.

Horde ran to Balinda, killed her than did lieutenants. I was horde during this meta, you can even find YouTube videos of it as a meme.

Map is garbage and a big fat lesson to map designers in that you should never design “same but different”. It almost never works.

Ever genius armchair dev thinks their one simple fix would instantly solve everything. Imagine thinking implementing an earlier version of AV would change ANYTHING about the current situation.

A few more NPCs and a small increase to mob HP and damage values, that’ll make the Alliance queue up and try to win again!

Very nice argument here, I’ll make sure to remember in the future hehe

@Sambouki : allies don’t lose for four months (actually you won some games) because of map imbalance but because of a ton of factors, starting with rankers leaving av as soon as they learned they could not do easy honor in 7 minutes.
