People are exploiting mass queuing with discord channels, as they were in early Classic. Can you please implement the fix into SoM? Thanks.

wont that kill AV and bring back the big queues? what was it, 4 hours?

Nothing will happen. It was done in P6 Classic and the forum was full of complaint threads and nothing changed.

No it was fixed pretty quickly in Classic.

Blizzard cannot stop people from getting in discord. So there is nothing that can be done. The ā€˜implement the fixā€™ you are referring to is removing the battleground ID # which they did to thwart this. And it worked largely. But that was when alliance had instant queus. So they had no way of actually knowing if they were all getting the same game.
But I understand that now there is a 7 min wait or whatever so they are all going to go to the same one if they get the pop at the same time.

Only possible thing I can see them doing is Blizzard seeding their own players and timing out people who do this for like a week (decay is brutal so it would definitely discourage).

But that is not realistic and what not. So just deal with it. They tend to go to sleep/stop grouping around 10pm west coast time. Games get much better for horde then. For what its worth. Good luck!

They fixed it Jan, 2020. So yes they can, it just has not been implemented here in SoM yet.

this was never fixed, people were using addons in classic that was changed, this is just community organized queues, not fixable.

It was fixed in Classic Jan 2020 when BGs first came out. That actually caused the meta to shift to WSG from AV ranking so it was a good change really IMO.

A year later the method of queue syncing changed and it started up again pretty strongly in Nov 2020 and went on until Feb 2021. At that point, there were dozens of forum threads from horde complaining about getting cave farmed/griefed by premades. Nothing was done. I can find the threads if you want.

With that being said your thread request is fine and yes there were changes in Jan 2020 so you arenā€™t totally wrong. Maybe something will change as Blizzard actually seems to be paying attention to this forum now.

I love premading and will keep doing it. See you in AV.

But i will add one thing they can do. That would help with another problem. Games starting with not full teams. Mostly on alliance, but Iā€™m sure it happens on horde tooā€¦premades in discord and abandoning the queue. There is no penalty to do this and the ā€˜pugsā€™ā€¦i.e. you an me, get punished. This has to stop.

Blizzard could easily implement a 1 hour wait if you donā€™t enter the bg that pops. Still would face premades but wouldnt have the disaster (mostly for alliance players i hear) that is incomplete teams.

Ah ok, I was done ranking long before Nov 2020 lol. But yes Jan 2020 I remember the fix, and all the discords shutting down. It actually saved my sanity as I was totally fried from running to Drek 5000 times a day. Strange they reverted the fix, maybe it was not intentional, and they just stopped caring at that point as most were done ranking by then anyway.

Yes, horde NA are exploiting and have a pre-made discord with approx 600 members, growing by the day. Not sure about alliance.

Any 60 with an epic mount gets invited.

Well, let them enjoy and see how it can and will turn bad ASAP. When games start with only 30 people.

Yeah, honestly I hated the original AV mega. I was super happy that it switched to WSG with ā€œreal PVPā€ and I really enjoyed the premade vs premade games I did in WSG as a flag carrier.

There was actually an Incendius ally AV premade that kept running even after the fix. I got grouped with them on my alliance once, back when the allies got farmed for 31 minutes at SHGY and then SPGY. It was amazing how they cleaned the whole map and beat the horde. Itā€™s one of my favorite memories of Classic AV.
