Tired of people repeating the same old myth that AV favors alliance. It does not.
AV is designed to be a long fight. Not a 5 minute match. Played as such favors Horde. This is fact. Horde has IBYgy at the choke point. The alliance have a bunker exposed pretty much in midfield. While the horde defense spawns over and over literally on top of their own bunkers.
They have Galv while Alliance has a low hp practice dummy.
WSG favors horde. So does Twin Peaks. When the maps were in, WSG for several years, Horde flag runners could exit base easily, up high and launch themselves across the map to their base, in the air. The farthest alliance could do was midfield. This is/was a massive advantage in favor of the Horde.
AB favored horde for a long time as well. They reach the BS flag by several crucial seconds sooner than alliance does/did. LM node also favored horde with shamans knockback. Eots for the same reason
Thats not even going into the Horde racials in vanilla.
WoW has almost always favored horde in design. EVMH was the makeup for it.
I will debate any of this all day long, with anyone.
I’m with you on AV being horde favored. But LM and eots? Both factions have knockbacks for those maps. NM I see you meant in Vanilla.

AV (classic version) definitely gave Horde an advantage w/the start location as was evident in Korrak’s Revenge. I also never equated the Alliance bridge to the narrow passages (especially with mines) you have to go through to get to the Horde base (towers/gy area). Alliance is very open and Horde is very tight so favors AoE fighting, CC, etc.
As for the GY locations, which team controls IBGY or SHGY can use those as very effective choke points.
But as you pointed out, people don’t play the long game, it’s zerg down kill the boss because I might be in here for 5 or 10 minutes QQ.
As for WSG/AB - I don’t see either has having a huge game changing advantage. I play both sides and for some reason the two factions often play differently in any BG.
Seems to me a LOT of people routinely went around Horde base, exploiting the crevice then took the GY then towers giving them a huge advantage is getting a close rez point. AFter witnessing this a couple times, I would just defend the GY and sucker them into the elite guard who could 2-3 shot the tanks
My favorite place to play horde side. Drop traps at the jump in spot, pet on them and/or drag them to the heavy hitters.
It worked only with a competent Alliance group and Horde being unaware, other wise it was an easy defend imho.
