AV is the worst video game content since E.T

AV in it’s current state is literally the worst game content I have experienced since E.T. on the Atari 2600.

I can’t fathom how this is being justified as the rout to some of the best rewards in a game.

It’s shocking that it’s being allowed to continue.

To me, the meta sounds like a cowbell

The Cowbell Compels You!!!

agreed. AV needs to be addressed.

They are treating AV like retail leveling!

I wonder if they’re going to actually address it with how many forum posts have been made.

At this stage in anniversary, I would just close it down instead of trying to fix it.

Either that or remove honor points being rewarded for AV and just leave it as a rep grind.

its not the best items in the game are you new?

PVE gear outshines pvp gear in classic and its not even close in naxx.

But yes the grind is still physically unhealthy and toxic and you could multiple toons through pve before r14 on a single toon.

Nobody is suggesting ending ranking, you just can’t do it by running across a map and not PvPing.

There’s really no argument that can be made to justify the abomination that is AV.

Unless you are a warrior main in a parse/speed competitive guild there is absolutely nothing in AV that is mandatory to have. A few things that are nice, yes…a few things that make raid gearing easier, absolutely, some things cheaper (like mount) , sure…but absolutely nothing mandatory and nothing a raid, besides what I stated above, will require.

Do it or don’t, or do it and then choose to be miserable about it and punish yourself twice, up to you.

The entire point is pvp’rs who don’t like to raid have to put in a trillion more hours for their gear vs people who raid… I know because I do both and PVE is not only potato easy in classic its faster to gear up.

AV may be the worst experience Classic has to offer. Bad, bad.

“PvP’rs”

But you’re not PvPing in AV…

Why should you get PvP gear for not PvPing?

Um… You can’t read or?

Alterac Valley is a large, 40-vs-40 battleground that features a unique blend of player-versus-player (PvP)

Super weird that you think AV is a raid or something because I pvp in av all the time… Was this a troll trap i just fell into?

I do pvp in av, in fact I have over 500 games of AV where I did in FACT pvp every game…

But you cannot just decide when to PVE, you can only clear raids once a week. What to do the rest of the time? If you want the rewards, you do AV.

Agreed, as I have posted myself many times, AV used to be so fun. Why have they let it devolve to its current state?

You’re not fooling anyone.

The AV you are describing was impossible to run through like Disneyland.

I do both. I have done both.

PVE gearing is so much less time consuming that you can literally play 1 or 2 days a week and raid log if you so choose.

YOU CANNOT play 1 or 2 or even 3 days per week and rank. The amount of hours needed to Rank vs PVE gearing is astronomically and comicaly swung one way.

That way is PVE

I am in AV pvping right now, just killed someone. I’m not sure what game you’re talking about but it isnt world of warcraft.

It is pvp with objectives, people can go for objectives and pvp or just aim for one of those. I don’t mind either.

I grind AV and have fun, when it gets unfun I do wsg or take a week off. It has made my journey to r14 slower but not at all stressful. I don’t know why people flip out over this stuff.

Me too, mostly before 2019 tho. You might pvp every game, but that is an outlier. Most not only actively avoid PVP, but flame anyone suggesting anything but zerg the boss.
