The current state of obtaining honor, is not pvp. It is queue for AV, get an instant pop, go in and pve. Rush Drek / Vann, rinse and repeat. This takes no skill, no pvp cohesion / cooperation, and is quite frankly boring. This is NOT what I expected Classic PvP to be like. I did the grind 15 years ago when the game was new, no cross-server. There was a sense of work to it. This AV instant-pop Run to Drek / Vann is NOT a pvp experience. Not what I was looking for at all, and a lot of the community agrees. Blizzard, this needs to be fixed. I feel like I’m playing some watered down version of the game which completely lacks the competitive feel of pvp that so many of us were looking forward to. The current state is horrible.
Possible fixes:
1.) Reduce the amount of honor gained from AV.
2.) Increase honor gained from WSG.
3.) Only make WSG cross-server, Not AV.
There are a hundred other fixes I could come up with as well…but these three seem like the ones which could easily be implemented. Fix before this AV kills the pvp in the game.

rushing is over friend it’s all about turtle av’s now. it’s common to join a av that’s going to last long now and at the end of the day when you in a av that’s over 30mins no1 really wins

It doesn’t have anything to do with AV, so much as it has to do with the honor system being trash.

Na if they changed it, it would be impossible for anyone else to catch up.
Not if they changed it right on weekly reset then everyone is still on equal ground

amount of honor isnt what puts you ahead its your weekly standing among your faction

No I got first sergent one week the next week I got 24 kills 1492 standing and my rank didnt drop.
these would be terrible changes. people are already doing WSG premades to infinity and beyond, with what you suggested they’d be even more common. you’d effectively snuff out the last remaining hope for PUGing WSG cause no one would want to get thrown into a BG where its very easy to be camped…

Uhh dude…thats my whole point. Go get some buddies and make effort. Not mindlessly AV. Premades are the point. It take skill and is competitive.
Too bad they aren’t going to change it.
