Arena is the greatest thing to happen to pvp for anyone trying to be good at pvp rather than trying to be geared from pvp.
Save your “bLiZzArD sAiD iT wAs a MiStAke”…
literally no one is thrilled about classic pvp and the actual time you have to be logged in to get a rank that people not at their keyboard are also getting is cringy. This made me realize just how amazing the addition of arena was.
Do you hate ques and think you’re decent in pvp? Then you probably are patiently waiting for TBC server just like your uncle smartdeath is.
Arena superior? Yeah if you like welfare epics. Hold my beer while I make an arena team 1500 lose 10 games real fast and get my points. Next week just make a new 1500 team rinse and repeat. EZ epixs
Arena flows FROM the Meta. There’s nothing organic or fun about it. Classes are dissected, roles are pre-assigned, and then the scripts are executed. Those with the best gear, best addons, and best macros have a distinct advantage.
That’s the playstyle. If you like that Arena is fun.
BG’s give that random encounter kind of feel to PvP that makes the games unpredictable and fun (IMO).
Opinions differ.
But what does not differ is that Arena has never drawn a very large following compared to the outsized influence it has had on WoW’s design and direction.
You mean specific class compositions that changed nearly every patch, the introduction of FOTM to the WoW playerbase’s vocabulary and PVE nerfs because of PVP whining.
Yea, who wants a consistantly changing meta. “MY CLASS WAS OP WHEN I ROLLED IT AND THAT SHOULD NEVER CHANGE. EVER!!!”
PVE never got nerfed solely because of PVP.
If you really think FOTM was a BC thing you werent around for the many years before that… or you weren’t paying attention, or you’re making stuff up to make a point
Woefully incorrect. Let’s start back in TBC with warrior Mace Specialization and Stormherald. I don’t have time to do your research for you but there were dozens of PVE nerfs solely due to PVP “issues”.
