This trash version of AV sucks, we wanted the epic version and not this scaled back pvp-less monstrosity. Idk of the battleground itself is worse, or the fact that the people behind classic thought this was a good idea. Effing shameful. Fix this garbage and put original epic AV back in

People who hated old AV are glad that this new painful footrace AV is faster.
People who loved being forced to fight long and hard in the old AV are feeling like the game they loved is now officially extinct.
Anyone giving this AV more than a 1 out of 10 is doing it because it is now a fast way to get gear. NO ONE is rating it higher than 1 out of 10 because they think it is fun. No one thinks this new AV is fun.

Eklita, I did not mean to criticize anyone’s opinions. I would be interested to hear if anyone actually did like this new AV for some reason. But I am just quite certain that you will only get two responses to your question. People who loved the old AV will say they hate this footrace new AV. And people who hated the old AV, because they just do not like a very long PvP fight…they will say they are happy this new AV is fast (but will not say they like it at all otherwise).
I absolutely could be wrong about that. But I have not seen a single person anywhere say the new AV is fun.

I’m a 1 out of 10, but If you do like this new AV I’d be interested in hearing why because I’m very confused at how anyone who enjoys PVP would enjoy it.

I’m disappointed in what is going on right now. But keep in mind the reason the alliance are rushing is because AV is fresh and most are focused on reputation, they don’t care about honor. Once people shift to focusing honor more than rep, they’ll do more objectives.
Old AV or not, the meta would be to win as quickly as possible. When I did premades on Northdale the games averaged 12 minutes with us capping every tower, and killing every captain/lieutenant.
Long games only happened if there were a lot of defenders, and at that point we just afk’ed out.
People are going to rush if it is possible to rush. Blizzard would have to seriously buff the npc’s beyond what they even were in old AV to stop the rush meta.

I think it’s pretty fun actually. I don’t run with the zerg and generally run off 3-4 man with hunters and get tons of pvp action. I let the zergs do what the zergs are going to do and play AV how I want to play it. You can do the same you know.

1, it sucks but everyone who knew 1.12 AV was understanding this. It sucks, it has always sucked. Hell even the “good” version can be dialed down to a minimum of pvp for maximum honor.
If most people would just pvp for the sake of pvp and not have their weird honor rank grind in mind, even 1.12 AV could be fun. But people are stupid and suck and so they maximize the honor farm, sacrificing the actual fun part in the process (with, i guess, the intention in mind to return to said fun part once they have their desired rank… ye i know it sounds dumb) and then complain on the forums the game is bad.
