AV disparity

It’s clear that alliance have a map advantage in the current iteration of AV because the configuration favors alliance when both sides zerg. While it would be fine for each faction to have different win conditions, it becomes a problem when it’s more honor efficient to play the losing zerg strat and hope for the 1 in 5 wins.

I think the fix is relatively simple to bring things closer: Make the alliance actually interface with tower archers. Right now a single alliance player can run up every single tower and cap it without needing to kill archers. There are only 2 bunkers that allow horde to do the same.

If we knock out a couple walls on top of the towers, the alliance would need to kill an archer or two before LoSing the rest to cap the tower, slowing their path enough to make the games more even.

Just defend galv and win.

They already nerfed Alliance in AV by banning premades and fixing the fence bug because Horde whined about losing. Horde can still just walk straight into Dun Baldar without going past the bridge in AV.

Learn to deal with playing the faction you picked or reroll. Alliance have to deal with being camped, being unable to do dailies and summon people and yet horde still complain all the time.

Paragraph 1, Sentence 2.

Well thats the problem isnt it? Min maxing the fun out of the game? Its more fun to win. Do you wanna have fun; or lose in 8 mins over and over again while afking and watching Netflix.

Player made retail mentality issue.

So stop zerging. Sounds like a horde problem.

My AV win percentage is huge. You know why? The bois defend galv and dont afk outside Vaan waiting to lose. lol

I don’t even care about winning now that you don’t get bg marks. The honor is in taking the time to let towers burn and in farming HKs.

My friend, the BG has been out and been this way for over 17 years. Sorry it doesn’t work for you, but I don’t think they’ll be changing it 17 years later since it’s been a problem for years.

You almost made it to the sentence where I addressed that.

As an alliance main, I will give you fair point on the Archer thing, the fact we can LoS them easily is a balance problem.

Yes, but given the large disparity in win rates, knocking out some walls in an asset shouldnt take much. I’m sure it’s a breath of fresh air to do something so easy given all their other bugs.

All you really have to do as Horde is sandbag Galv and you win

Swings and roundabouts. Horde have graveyards their side of TWO choke points in the middle of the map that are huge advantages (SH and IB).

Where were you all of classic when it was the other way around, and why now does it matter to you now all the sudden?

I dont know that knocking out walls is as easy as you think, the whole tower model is a single asset, and changing it would change every tower in all of WoW that uses that same model. Rather than that they could just put a melee NPC in the tower with the flag. Give it a whirlwind on a ~10 sec cd and make it leash to the top floor of the tower.

Once again, 17 YEARS. They aren’t gonna change it now. lol

They’ve changed several things in the 17 years, the hill skip for Dun Baldar didn’t always have mines.
