are we going to do anything about this AV or just chalk the 95%+ alliance loss rate to alliance being dumb. You have literally dissolved entire communities of players by eliminating our ability to organize and now we remain stuck with players who could care less. I expect more from blizzard

The Horde managed to play with the percentage of people who could care less. Ex-premaders should be trying to fight with their team instead of throwing a tantrum and going afk in the SHGY houses.
But… it is. The alliance loss rates are because there are so many people not trying.
I guess you shouldn’t have built communities around something that clearly circumvents the the intention of the game.
Chalk it up to Alliance being dumb. Ballparking, but it seems like 80% of our Priests/Paladins are rat specs like Shadow/Ret while the majority of the players in general attempt to farm HKs instead of engaging objectives like they should. Sure, Horde has a map advantage, but having played this game since release and vanilla periodically on pservers in between the win/loss ratio was NEVER this bad. The larger team clashes should honestly be to our advantage because in the context of group PvP Alliance racials are objectively better (Horde is better positioned for 1v1) and our primary hybrid healer is significantly more mana efficient. It’s a pebkac issue for sure.
Yes, they are going to do something. Ignore it. /thread
People not trying got banned… Alliance should be winning now.
quoted for truth. paladins > racials
It’s almost exactly like you haven’t been paying attention.
If both raids crash directly into each other head on, Alliance should win. Theres a reason Horde dodged US in Vanilla.
Getting the Alliance raid to commit to that however is a different story. If we can get half of us to leave the cave, we’re doing better than average lmao.
Elesham spell batching wasn’t a thing in Vanilla. Now a moderately geared elecham can literally delete a r10 warrior in a global and there’s nothing anyone can do about it. Paladin heals don’t mean anything if their teammates are getting globaled by nature damage.
Also, 60% of horde players weren’t orc in Vanilla. Every AV you go into now there’s 15 orc warriors that you can’t peel off your healers.
The first fight happening feet away from SHGY should result in a pretty big advantage for the Alliance. It really does confuse me how people will try and twist very obvious advantages like respawning advantage into “obvious horde bias!”
I am hoping, some time down the line…Alliance will start trying again.
Changes nothing. Horde should be losing people just as quickly if their shamans are busy playing at being a 3 minute mage and have no NS to save people from being rapidly killed in return.
Without NS, they are extremely vulnerable to being counter spelled. Meanwhile Paladins bubble and cant be touched till too much damage has been done and the fight as already pretty much won.
Novas and slows are your primary peels going on in furball fights like that, not stuns.
Really? If it’s such an advantage for alliance, why does horde fight them there every single game? Why not wait at IBGY if it’s such an advantage? You sound ridiculous.
Oh hey, here is the exact kind of guy I was talking about. We fight you 3 feet away from your graveyard because we know 15 of you will never leave the graveyard again after being killed once.
Alliance giving up does not mean they don’t have an advantage.
^ This. I’ve rarely seen a game where alliance actually try and defend SHGY. They just ride past and let us take it. That doesn’t mean they have a disadvantage. Alliance just can’t be bothered to try.
I hope they change the cave spot. That way one of two things will happen:
- Win ratios won’t change, but forum topics will shift to something else and new to complain about concerning AV
- Win ratios will hit the promised land of 50/50, and forum topics will shift to something else and new to complain about concerning Classic.
In either case we can harp on something else finally, it’s long past the complaint cycle for this topic. Bring on the fresh salt!
I can see it now, the first fight will take place at Iceblood or Galv or somewhere else where the Horde actually have a strong geographical position. The Alliance will be wiped there instead and give up, then continue to complain about map imbalance.
this is bs.
having well over half your team (undead and orcs) unable to be reliably cced by either stuns or fears is objectively better than any of the alliance racials.
