AV Cave Rez situation

I truly hope there are enough perpetual 1.12 players left after TBC and fresh classic servers to even fill an AV.

There will be, and I will likely come back to vanilla after I get to the point of raid logging in tbc. So 6 months in or so.

You mean when alliance have a decent win rate and thereā€™s 10+ AVā€™s going vs 2-3 going horde queue times drop.

Yeah, this only works because right now the majority of horde ranking are trying to rush for titles (or gear) before TBC.

Obviously the meta was completely different 4-5 months ago, but weā€™ll see what happens later onā€¦

Im assuming there will be enough to populate a handful of servers and Im also assuming they will still be cross realmed for bgs. I wouldnt expect 3 min queues but AV will still be a thing.

Donā€™t they know they can just rank on the Classic realm after TBC releases, then copy their character over for the fee and keep their titles and gear?

No they canā€™t actually.

Edit----
No, because your toon is ā€˜snapshottedā€™ on the day of the pre patch, and that is the version of your toon that you would then pay to activate on your TBC realm if you choose initially to play 4ever Classic, but when you first make the choice there is no fee, but as Redhead clarified, to play both you would pay a fee.

I was referring to your example, which implies a later choice after the initial one, which would incur a fee to have both ā€˜copiesā€™ active.

From what I heard this is incorrect.

You can. Chose for each character to go to tbc or stay classic free of charge, uts if you want a character to be in tbc and classic that you will need to pay a fee.

If you are a hardcore OG Classic forever server player, you NEED to have a good toon on both Horde and Alliance. Keep AV interesting. I have been having a blast playing my troll mage last few days after playing alliance for so long. If alliance needs my help again, I will be there. If the Q times shift again, I will always have a toon to play AV with. I will always be able to tilt the balance and keep games interesting.

True. A lot of people have both. I love seeing PVP from both sides. I always fight for the side Iā€™m playing on. Itā€™s just a different perspective.

thats what i said, lol, he was thinking that you could continue to level/gear whatever on the classic 4ever realm and then later transfer that toon to BC, that is what is incorrect, your toon as it is now on the current Classic realms is ā€˜snapshottedā€™ when the prepatch launches, and that is the version that would be copied to ,at first for free, what realm you chose(4everClassic or TBC), or if you later want to play BC and chose 4ever Classic, or chose BC and want to play 4ever Classic, you would then have to pay to ā€˜copy/activateā€™ that snapshotted copy on whichever realm you didnt chose when it was free initially.

Oh i think you meant how i worded my reply, it did seem like i was telling him that you had to pay initially, ill clarify my response. :O)

Depending on what the new honor system looks like (I assume it will change since there likely wonā€™t be enough players on most servers), I might make an alliance toon for the first time ever, but weā€™ll see.

What battlegroup are you in that horde wins AV?

That strat now on either side is just to convince enough ppl to play defense with you. 5 people on D can win a game for either side.

and it is fun!

Donā€™t get the epic long games, but I also donā€™t spend half the game spamming chat and macros, and Iā€™m ok with that.

Yeah, Iā€™m winning more than half my AVs now, seems like a lot more people are willing to play defense past week.

Iā€™ve been having a harder time convincing Alliance to:

once again, and now weā€™ve started to lose more often. How strange.

Odd, itā€™s like the losses are being caused by to many alliance quing for a pvp BG and not pvping.

My dude that is crazy.

Are you so bold as to suggest that people not pvping in a pvp battleground directly related to one side losing above all other factors immensely?
