If horde are at the bridge, how are they also at IB creating an impenetrable wall? If they are not down south, a) what are you dying from, and b) why are your healers not rezzing you?
Well first youâre the one suggesting alliance abandon the bridge to head south.
Second turtling at DB cannot be done indefinitely as eventually horde will summon the ice guy.

There you go again.
Citation needed, but I have zero doubt you will continue to outrageously misconstrue what is actually posted.
I think the situation is a lot more nuanced than people make it out here. And specifically Misadventure, your positioning statements and tone come off really âholier than thouâ and negative. It does not add to the conversation when someone is perhaps being combative.
Fine let me explain to you one more time so everyone else who reads your ridiculous points will understand that you have flat earther levels of denial of facts.
So first point once a GY is softcapped it announces it to the whole game and takes 5 mins to fully cap. So if the Alliance is pushed back to SP/Bride they control the IWB choke which has no bypass(the cliff is north of IWB) there are usually a couple Horde sitting at this choke preventing any small groups from going south unless they spend a few minutes in stealth, because anyone in this group would die and go back to SP/Cave where as any horde just spawn right there and most classes have ways to just stop anyone who is running on a mount from just running past. So you either need to stealth for a few mins to get south of IWB or need a large group to run past.
So now we have some alliance south to softcap a southern GY. If it is a small team of stealthers who are just capping things and leaving to cap more southern stuff to âcause chaosâ congrats you have a naked lvl 51 horde walking around retaking it and you now have a group of 2-5 alliance doing absolutly nothing and horde lost 1 low level player.
Now if that scout gets south and sees the people defending the capped GY he just says in chat how many are defending at which GY, it only takes half that number to port back to completely wipe the alliance because the horde can rez at any of the GYs or at the cave, where as any alliance that dies gets rezzed all the way back at SP/Cave taking them out of the fight till after the GY is defended or capped(which will not happen). Now Alliance have 2x as many players as the horde south and those people are doing nothing. The fun part is that this situation scales from a small group to a medium sized group to a large group.
Now if the Alliance move in bulk and send most of the entire team south the Horde have 2 options, easily overwhelm any defenders left and win the race because they are starting to overwhelm the defenders before the Alliance even get south and have to wait 5 mins for a GY. Or do the strategy above and send a team of 10-20 south to completely destroy the alliance in the south in a couple waves of attack and recap any GY that is taken because again the Alliance have no spawn and horde do.
Now lets look at the Bridge defensive point. First there is no rez advantage at the Bridge to defend the bridge you need to be rezzing at AS which is 10 at a time against SP which is also 10 at a time. However SP is closer to the bridge than AS so you actually are at a rez disadvantage. So you have some people holding the bridge as a defense which can work decently well if you have the right comp of AoE and heals holding the bridge, However 10 Alliance are not gonna hold against 30 horde attacking very long and one push with intercept fear breaking the aoe then a wave of horde crushes the aoes and they softcap AS instantly ending the bridge as a defensive advantage. All it takes is a softcap to end.
Now for the alliance to truly defend the bridge they need a team holding the bridge of about 10 players and more people who are attacking the Horde at SP from the cave stopping them from making a push since this is most of the Horde team you need at least another 10-20 at the cave. If the alliance do take full advantage of this defense they can retake SPGY and the game then reverts to a fight at the SP choke with Horde holding the IWB choke and attacking into SP using the terrain to their advantage to overcome the longer run to the battle from SHGY than from SPGY and this magic bridge advantage no longer helps. And the horde still control 70% of the map, including free access to ram skins, the wing commanders only have to run through horde territory to get back to base and Lok is summoned behind a choke and completely out of line of sight to be interrupted. So the next time they are pushing to this choke the alliance is getting attacked by aerial units at the SPGY and in DB who are defending the bridge, they get wolf riders to supplement the attacks and they get a raid boss to help push with to overcome any defensive advantage.
So while yes the alliance can turtle at SPGY/bridge it gets them no where on offense and while they are doing this the horde have free access to all the summons that are available.
So when you have a defensive choke position it gives you an advantage till it is softcapped or till you take the next GY in the chain. When Horde cap SH they gain a new defensive choke point to push from. And when IBGY is softcapped they lose nothing because they fall back to the cave and still get to control the same choke and there is no way to softcap the cave.
TLDR: the reason they can push with their whole team and still be able to defend south is because they do not have to have to defend until something is capped and then can defend with less people than the alliance sent and still crush the offense because the horde can rez while the alliance cannot.
Its misadventure. He literally does anything he can to troll to make up for the fact that he is a garbage player and most likely human being as well. He tries his best to make good points, bless his heart. But he is just out to get a reaction. Most would be good to just ignore him.

This is why I opened with this statementâŚ
Fine let me explain to you one more time so everyone else who reads your ridiculous points will understand that you have flat earther levels of denial of facts.
That statement is not for Misadventure because he has already proven he does not care about facts when it comes to AV. Every point he has ever made has been disproven and/or shown to be utterly ridiculous. That post was to show anyone who actually cares to learn about the situation that his statements are ridiculous and that there are real reasons for the problems that exist with the map.
When you have 2 Horde posters pointing to Rams as a part of the Alliance defense at SHGY you know they had no argument to begin with.
Theyâll bring up the bridge as well as if itâs actually relevant. Just completely ignore the fact that by the time alliance are actually at the bridge is when the game is almost over anyways with the Alliance choked off completely at Icewing.
This is why I always recommend reporting Misadventure and Redheadchild for trolling. At this point it is nothing else.
When you have 2 Horde posters pointing to Rams as a part of the Alliance defense at SHGY you know they had no argument to begin with.
YOU TAKE THAT BACK! RAM TEAM 7 HOLDS THAT SPOT DOWN!
You took Rams from a list of defenders advantages I gave you and ignored everything but them.
The Rams were the smallest advantage I gave, but they are an advantage none the less, even compared to horde wolves they are better because they have a stun that can interrupt casts, doesnât share DR with player stuns, exc.
I gave a long list of alliance advantages and you just zoned in on the Rams and made a meme out of it, ignoring everything else on the list I gave.
Keep calling me the troll though when all of you are the ones intentionally misrepresenting my postsâŚ
Another Win
Having at least 10 to recall early when SH is lost, but SF or IB GY capped is vital

Look at that, alliance playing the map and respecting the stuffed Rez selection? Who woulda thought lol.
This is why alliance lose in classic AV, they are playing it like retail AV.
Keep teaching them please I would love to vs you in AV.

Let us know when your magical strat you refuse to explain gets you a win rate on par with WSG/AB
While horde are playing scorched earth.
I was in that winning AV - first one Iâve won and Iâm nearly exalted. And I will give this to Scot, he was a good leader.
There is no magical strat. We held onto SH and managed to take SF as well. IBGY was soft capped a bunch of times. Also had D in our base.
Horde never really attempted to get SF back, just a few at a time trickled in. They split their forces between IBGY, SH, DB and of all places, FOS.
Our team was pretty strong and we had good call outs. We had excellent coordination. Meanwhile, the Horde team had the collective IQ of a box of hair. They were all over the place, I never saw a huge push. After IBGY was capped and we went for towers, they didnât even know what to do with themselves. It was pretty comical, actually.
We had an excellent team and a strong leader. There were no afks and everyone was coordinated. The Horde team played like a bunch of escaped mental patients. Youâd think with a match up like that a win would have been a slam dunk. It wasnât. It was a long, long, long game and it took everything we had.
So yes, wins are possible . . . if youâre ten times better.
If Blizzard were to ever to fix the freakinâ cave rez situation, it would be obvious how much better Alliance is.
So yes, wins are possible . . . if youâre ten times better.
Yep, I donât get his cheerleading that 5% win rate means everything is fine.
Yep, I donât get his cheerleading that 5% win rate means everything is fine.
What bothers me the most is people who come in here and claim Alliance are all a bunch of afkers, rep grinders, blah, blah, blah, and they just need to try harder. Every game, every single game, Alliance tries. The fact that Alliance can be so much better and play near perfectly and still lose speaks for itself.
The win ratio, even with a good team, is abysmal.
The win ratio, even with a good team, is abysmal.
And this is whatâs too garbage about the argument that well good alliance just need to queue like they do on AV weekend.
Okay? so they do and the win ratio only goes up to 10-15%? Great⌠so it takes massive honor bonus to make AV even worth attempting as alliance but the map is perfectly balanced?
It also shoots in the foot the argument that good alliance wouldnât queue if they had a better win rate which is what that red dude keeps claiming.
Thatâs funny the horde been losing the last 5 gameâs but iâm sure itâs cause of the caveâs
Cool you got a team that sucked and didnt play defense and seriously learn to post links properly its not hard just use ` on both sides of link.
