I wait almost a whole month to play AV the correct way through pvp engagements not 6min AV’s.

Altec Valley was my favorite of all the Battlegrounds because the battles were epic. As a person who played Horde the queue times could become horrendous and when you have to wait 30+ minutes to get into a match that would end in 5-6 minutes from an Alliance premade the amount of honor earned, and time invested wasn’t worth it.
For Horde it’s imperative to work together to stop the alliance at the initial choke point as it’s the only way for Alliance to get into the Horde area. Most matches that get stopped there; Alliance will start thinking of exit modes because they bank on their fast queue times to earn honor at that expedited rate.
Once that initial Alliance push fail happens, the Horde can then drag out the engagement earning far more honor then the 5–6-minute rush to the boss that happens now. Earn 2,000 honor for a loss after waiting 30+ minutes or make a match last an hour and earn 8,000+ honor.
