So let’s just destroy AV in order to save the solo alliance player? The whole reason for alliance organizing ourselves in the first place was to get away from the “im just going to fish, we going to lose anyway” mentality that solo alliance players have.
My discord group gets on average between 20 and 30 of us in per AV. That means 10-20 solo alliance players also get in.
Most of these solo players spend the game afk, or fishing or hanging out south of town doing who knows what. We carry them and give em probably their first wins of the day. So I’m not entirely sure why solo alliance are having a bad time.
Besides, there is no reason to queue AV solo since the discords are available to every alliance player who wants to win.
No, they need to give the deserter debuff to people who don’t accept an invite. Removing the number only fixes this one specific problem, while utilizing the debuff would fix a lot of abusive queue dodging behaviors.
Evade - How do you feel about the discords that kick casuals/solos because of things like they dont have the epic mount? I’ve been hearing a lot of these things going on in the AV alliance discords and it seems to be pushing away even more alliance players because they are doing nothing wrong and still getting kicked.
I believe both factions should use discord. Horde choose not to use them. No horde players has ever been able to give a good reason.
Personally, I think the horde rankers care more about maximizing honor gains killing straggler alliance in field of strife then to bother actually winning the game. If they got on discord they’d be forced to do what the raid leader tells them “defend SH Bunker” for example… which would then hurt their honor per hour.
Better to stay off discord and do your own thing right horde?
well Every discord is different and have diff requirements.
The one I’m in requires rank knight and higher, epic mount with mount speed buffs and those who can buff must buff.
There are other discord’s that are open to any alliance player who wants to win.
There are other discords that require marshal and above. I’d love to join them but I’m not a marshal yet. Just cause I don’t meet the requirement yet to join it, doesn’t mean I don’t want to pvp anymore.
I do hate the idea of Alliance premades kicking randoms out if they’re not part of their premade. That should be reportable in some way. All in all if they just made group queues a thing i’m sure it would solve a large portion of the problem. Sure it would make queuing by yourself a pretty damn big risk, but it would at least even out the broken meta we have going on. If it was premade vs premade, we’d have a new meta that we’ve never seen before in classic. Will it be good? Will it be bad? I have no idea but I think at this point anything is better than what we have now.
Rest easy, we don’t kick anyone out if they aren’t in our discord (except for afkers) and we relay all directions via chat to the few alliance pugs that actually want to win
Horde has a 7k member discord, still impossible to que as premade, don’t talk about things you know nothing about. It is impossible for horde to que as 40 with the current algorithm.
As an alliance player I support this. The premade AV grind is legitimately miserable. Horde side is also miserable. Everyone, is miserable being forced to play AV. Remove the BG numbers, let people que in 5 man parties, and the game will be all the better for it.
LOL, did that actually happen? I would not be surprised but this is the price we pay for 1.12 “stuff”…
I desparately tried to talk the community out of 1.12 in the early phases of this project but the same “sweaty neck beard fury warrior mains” wanted 1.12 soooo bad that they did everything possible to make that so.
IMO that’s what it really boils down too, players who wanted so bad to main fury for DPS that they were willing to sacrifice the entire game experience just to be a fury warrior in Naxxramas…
When you think about it, that’s the only positive for selecting patch 1.12, literally everything else in game suffers as a result of 1.12…
If you apply this solution, the que times of the horde will only get worse. In which case I support this, I actually support everything that negatively affects the horde
I mean look man… I have trouble feeling bad for you because every single AV I get, I get rolled hard by Horde. No towers, no graveyards. I don’t care if I won or not, but getting farmed every game kinda sucks. So it’s no wonder Alliance premades.
For sure, you don’t feel bad for me… death to Alliance and all that. But you want sympathy and the removal of literally the only option Alliance have to filter out all the bots/people who would rather mill about in mid field and yell at me for actually trying to play the game?
