What I mean by Automatic Transmog is the ability to pay (with GOLD) to apply a permenant transmog to a slot so when we upgrade a piece of gear the transmog is applied automatically to anything in that slot.
We could, of course, swap the mog out for something else if we so choose and pay the regular price for transmogging but it would be a nice, little quality of life thing I like to think.

What, you don’t like mounting up to fix your set everytime you get an upgrade?
But yea, this would be great
Well if xmog mounts weren’t a thing and the only way to fix your mog in the field was the engineering that is learned in BFA engineering, then I would say no. But considering the xmog mount makes it possible to just fix it every time you get a new item, I agree, let me pay money and save the 5-10 seconds to fixing an item.
No, you should have to keep paying. It’s a healthy gold sink.

Well then, let me pay 20k gold per slot to have a default appearance and then charge the normal rate every time I want to change from or decide to not use that default appearance.
Yeah always wanted this. It’s awful getting upgrades in raid and wrecking your mog till you get into a mountable area.
Old Republic and Rift both have outfits. Not sure why WoW couldn’t do similar.

Because people and probably blizzard, believes spending a few hundred gold here and few hundred there some how offsets the literally thousands upon thousands of gold players get daily for a bare minimum of effort.
I mean… it was a gold sink once upon a time. But once they gave Velfs a racial to pay less for transmog and made Trial of Style holidays free transmog… that kinda went out the window. lol
Even back in the past, players were still making gold far faster than the general gold sinks were removing it, and xmog didn’t change that.
