Hear me out:
Blizzard gives you a button that automatically signs you up for every m0 listed in LFG that as an open spot for your role and will sign you up for any new groups that have an open spot for your role as well.
Once you complete all m0s you unlock a button that will do the same for m+2. And then m+3 etc.
So you can click the button and go about your business in town or doing wq’s.
Would you use this feature?
I’d never use it, and nobody else worth their salt would. So your pool of players would be all the players who struggle to complete keys.
It’s not the free carry you might be looking for.

Most people like to screen the party leader’s io before they go in, even in low keys. So idk

Never; I actually like to see the party composition, rating, and dungeon of the group I am applying too.

This would probably just make players more picky about who they invite tbh.
That sounds like it would be HORRIBLE for the players actually putting groups together. There are already more DPS applicants than anyone can reasonably sort through…and auto-signing up every participating DPS would make it so much worse.

That’s the nice part. It plays with the current system. So it doesn’t split the community.
What’s the point of this?

I know I would. But I see this as a solution for the “hit a button and go people”.
It won’t be a solution for them because they want groups to be auto-formed for them. All this would do would make the list of dps to choose from even larger. They can already “hit a button and go” up to 5 times. Your idea doesn’t solve their problem of “nobody wants me in their group.”

No you can’t. The current system needs to be baby sat and you get sent declined over and over.
My system doesn’t need to be baby sat and you don’t get told no – you do get decline but the system wouldn’t be in your face about it.
If I get an option to auto-decline anyone who auto-applied, I could support your idea.

Absolutely not.
(The above answer is funny but accurate)

The only way to solve “nobody wants me in their group” is through self improvement. In 90% of cases where anyone makes that statement their issue is found within a mirror. Auto join features for anything involving skill increase toxicity. It angers everyone.

They should have group finder queue for M0 and remove its lockout.
They should not change that for M+ though.

I suspect an addon could do the button part. Would need to refresh signups manually though.
High level LFD would probably work out as well as solo shuffle has, which is to say a lot less well than proponents would envision.

At that point just add a M+ queue. Less awkward than what you are suggesting.
