Automated set role is toxic

So, you get invited to a group to be a healer. You are in shadow spec because you are questing. Then, you switch specs to holy AFTER joining the group.

Right afterwards, you get kicked from the group, with no warning, and then you ask the leader why. And he says “no shadow, we want a healer”
FFS.

This happens because the system auto assigns your role based on your spec. It would be better if the system did not assign any roles when you join a group. Blank role until you set it yourself. Or better, the system could ask what role you want to be.

The player base cannot be expected to be intelligent or think apparently. Sigh.
ALSO! I am a 473 ilvl, with over 1.5k IO. I was applying to a +10 mythic. It’s not like I wasn’t overgeared for that dungeon.

When the invite pops up just set your role by right clicking your own name plate.
