Automated bans - nothing in appeal

Makes it pretty obvious, when it says ‘abusive chat’ but nothing is in the email, or the appeal. Makes the company look really bad especially when the ‘estimated wait time’ is egregious.

Was there help you need? The CS forum isn’t for vague ranting.

Sorry to bust your bubble but, the CS forum isn’t a feedback forum. The blues here have no power over the how the appeal system works, nor what is grab for chat issues.

Don’t need active game time to post here.

Sorry, this is a player help player forum.

Sorry, you’re mistaken again. It’s not automated. Templated yes, but the investigation and account action is applied by Blizzard employee.

Not here you’re not. No devs, QA here.

Do you want them to investigate the evidence again fully (which takes time), or just rush it to keep your appeal ticket time faster?

You’ve missed the point.

Customer Support isn’t Customer Service. There is a difference. Read the sticky posts to outline what the forum is about.

If you say so - it’s also been debunked time and time again.

Yes - but not this specific forum. As I mentioned, there are no devs or QA here, nor community managers that liaise with them - unlike other forums such as General.

You can provide feedback via the general forum, or via the in-game feedback (via ESC - Support (?) menu, then usually the first option.)

But hey - believe whatever. You won’t listen to anyone, obviously, but there is no grand conspiracy theory here. Only your own paranoia and ignorance.

Here’s some blue posts regarding this forum.

Few bits of clarification.

First, if you were silenced an actual GM had to drudge through your chat logs and see what violated ToS. You won’t get a clear cut answer in the email response and tickets won’t address whatever action was taken. Now a squelch, that’s automatic and that comes from mass reports, but that’s not an actual ‘action’ against your account.

Second, talking about actions against you aren’t allowed on the forums. I’d highly advise against doing this in the CS forum as it’s the most heavily moderated one.

No one is going to be able to help you here. You’ll need to file an appeal if you feel you were wronged. And they’re likely not going to tell you what you did in the appeal as well.

Is just that. It’s not specifically the amount of time for your ticket, but it is an estimate based on the oldest ticket in the system. Most normal tickets are being addressed in about a day. Appeals, that I cannot speak for specifically, but the turnaround is still usually pretty quick all in all.

Meaning the block of text to give a player an idea of why they’ve been sanctioned? Unfortunately, this does happen from time to time. If you make note in your appeal that there was no snippet provided of the offensive chat anywhere in the process thus far, they are usually pretty good about providing that for players.

Though while they have no part to play in the investigations, sanctioning and appeals processes - there is the chance that one of our SFAs will ever so kindly enlighten you as to what your fellow players reported you on, once they get in for the day. Most of the time players tend to know exactly what they’ve said and done, just not which part specifically got reported.

For clarification, our staff doesn’t write out the penalty emails that get sent to you, they are templates that are automatically created when the violation is noted.

For chat violations, the system pulls from the chat lines that were reported, but they may contain reports that were made over several days and not necessarily the ones that resulted in the penalty.

From what I can see here, Pennfen, this is less about chat and more about behavior in matches. You’ll need to wait for your appeal to be addressed.
