This has been an ongoing issue in recent times.
A basic function for many games - looting. It seems that Autoloot has deteriorated to the point of uselessness. It fails SO often that you have to watch to see if the loot is looted. Opens the window, and if you walk away expecting it to loot (as the autoloot function should) you end up getting ripped off.
If you notice the sparkles remain from your unlooted loot you run back to loot again.
Why is this a problem? More to the point - why is the problem unresolved and seemingly getting worse?
Surely the time sink has not denigrated to this has it?
np. In before: No, not runnign mods. I7 / rtx 2060 / 32RAM. Been playing this game for
over 15 years and this has never been an issue.
Looting = BASIC.
Fix it please.
Auto Loot has been busted since The War Within began. It is extremely annoying since just like you said, this is a basic function that has worked fine for many years until now. I can definitely tell the lack of QA is a huge problem with the current state of the game and having Blizzard’s QA team gutted apparently echoes this sentiment. I have reported more bugs within the last year or so than all of the previous years combined.
This is absolutely a frustrating bug. Install the Plumber addon, it will make your life much better. How an addon author can fix this when Blizz can’t is a mystery but at least it’s a workaround.
^^This too. In fact, I realized my Plumbr addon was out of date when my auto loot stopped working again tonight right after I posted.
UPDATE: Okay, I just had auto loot not working again, so even with Plumbr updated, I am still able to reproduce the issue. It is not seemingly as much, but auto loot still isn’t 100%.
Thanks for the replies. I thought it was just an isolated thing. So again I have to get a third party addon to get the basic functionality for an MMO I pay a monthly subscription for?
I mean we are talking about looting here - not rocket science lol.
Not being fixed, especially after the latest dogs breakfast pre-patch is having me lean towards time sink. Especially now a third party addon cannot even fix this mess. LOL.
Maybe Blizz will put in one of their addons to fix their autolooting problem ><
Spose I should look at an MMO that has been around for a while - you know - where that basic functionality just works…..
It’s been quite some time since I played ESO and I read they made some major changes to the character classes. I’ve been thinking about firing up the launcher and hopping back in to see how good or bad those changes are. 
Still bugged, Blizz. Hire some programmers and start fixing things, please.
