Who thought it would be a good idea to fill your entire bags with unstackable random crud? In WoW Classic, junkit clears it out for your before you even notice it. In this, I actually have to return to my god darn cov hall to turn it in.
could it not just just go into a currency tab as anima, I get the RP story elements like were swabbing the remnants of a wine glass full of anima for scraps but no one even acknowledges anything like that anyway, might as well just be 1 item called anima.
We had this in Legion, and in BfA they said “yeah, that was a pain, so now we’re going to automatically apply your AP to your neck”. Then they not only backtracked to the Legion design, they made it worse because we can’t just pop the AP tokens out in the world, we have to schlep them back to our covenant sanctums.
Ii swear, it’s one step forward, disengage back with the design team.
With war, order hall, and garrison resources, they were just a magical currency that never really entered your bags. And Anima is just order hall resources 2: electric boogaloo.
Also, side fact, did you know you do a casting animation when you’re depositing anima? I didn’t know that until recently, since the window covers 80% of the screen.
I don’t want our Anima to auto deposit, but I’d love it if we had a bottle (of sorts) that we could craft, that Anima would be placed in. This would tidy up our bags, give crafting a new item to work towards… seems like a win win.
Oh, EDIT:
We already have examples in game. Those necklaces that store Anima (I believe). Well, if we could craft something like that which would store varying lots of Anima, that’d be pretty nice.
In fact, filling the necklace with Anima ( say 1000 anima), then being able to use that as a crafting reagent for gear, would also be very interesting.
The designers just wanted to a) fill your bags with useless junk (IMMERSION!!!), and b) force you back to your sanctum.
There’s no rational RP or gameplay reason for it to be the way it is. It’s just about adding a few minutes every day that you have to be logged on to take care of a chore.
