Auto Throw Weapons?

Hello,

In the process of leveling all my weapon skills up to 300 and all I have left is Thrown. Is it possible auto throw, where you don’t have to click the throw button every single time? Like Auto Shot. Maybe a macro that will cast it over and over?

If it doesn’t do auto by itself, not really. Well, not an ingame macro atleast. You could try two things:

  • A mouse or keyboard macro, which would be easy to do. You just install the official software for your hardware, if your mouse or keyboard was built for it.
  • If you got a gaming mouse with a scroll wheel lock button, you can press that and spin it really fast for a long time. Then you just bind your spell to it and it clicks tons for about 10 to 15 seconds before it stops.

I do have a shoot weapon macro though, for when you change weapon types on a warrior.

Blizzard’s Warden software sees those as bots, so beware if going that route.

Yeah, I was actually just about to ask if that would be okay. It turns out my mouse software does have that ability. If I create a macro to click the throw button every 1 second that would detected as a bot you think?

Some years back this was confirmed on the support forum. Any kind of outside software runs the risk.

that is not allowed, not sure if you would get away with it

if you think about it you could set up something similar to afk farm stuff

Yeah, tolerance seems to vary. People tend to use macros to prevent AFK measures, which gives them a bad reputation. Was a pretty big problem at launch and I’d imagine there are probably AV farmers using them. I wouldn’t do an infinite loop macro in this climate. AFK with that thing and they’ll get mad.

They have a policy of “One keypress, one action.” but even the scroll wheel method walks into a questionable area under that phrasing. Flicking a scroll wheel once can provide several actions. There’s probably some level of tolerance towards that rule, but use at your own discretion.
