Auto Quest Accept

So I’m out here getting my calling quest for the day, then heading to korthia and I think to myself, “why can’t all quests be auto accept like my callings?”. Does anyone feel like it’s kind of annoying to have to run around and hit accept on a quest twice? I’ve already talked to the dude, so it’s pretty blatant that I’m planning on doing whatever they want. Thank you all for listening.

I like to read the quests because I like to know why I am killing those people or stealing from that village or kidnapping those children.

I am odd like that.

You can still read the quest. Similar to how you can still read the calling despite getting it automatically.

Wait, the callings are now auto accept?

Since when…?!

You don’t have to click the accept button. You just click on the quest giver and it’s automatically added to your quest log.

Just in general there are too many undeclinable autoaccept quests in the game. This is the first complaint I heard about callings, though.

My current annoyance is that idiotic “chum” quest you get in Nazjatar. If you’ve got it in your quest log or your bag, you’re phased out of all npc’s in a big part of the zone and can’t do world quests or party with other players. And it just keeps coming back.

Well i’m not seeking to decline the quests. I want them all to be auto acceptable. Or at least give us the option to make repeat dailies auto acceptable.

Ah, got it… I kinda wish we can pick up the callings without going to our covenant home.

All I think of when I hear auto accept quests is flying into a zone at the wrong time during bfa and having some talking head yell at me and add a quest to my log that I didn’t want and how irrationally angry it made me, so I have to say no.

Until callings are like emissaries they will forever be a lack of QoL

World quest 2.0.

Aka takes twice as long for the most mundane tasks.

Ok yeah that’s definitely annoying. I just like the idea of daily quests being accepted just by clicking on the quest givers instead of clicking, then accepting. It’s already in the game for callings, so I just think it’d be neat to have the option available for everything else.

Especially a quest trying to add an item to your bag, an item “needed” to complete that quest you have no intention of doing. And because your bag is full you get that “donk” sound and a message in chat that “Quest failed. Your inventory is full” every 5 seconds until you leave the zone.

The thing about the calling quests is that they auto-accept as soon as you touch the questgiver - and they cannot be abandoned.

So if you’re pushing up against the ridiculous-at-this-point quest limit, you can’t dump any calling quests you don’t intend to do (like the “Challenges in…” one or the Torghast one).

I’m fairly certain callings don’t count towards quest log count.

I guess I should have been more specific.

I like to read the quests before I accept them because I like to know why someone wants me to kill those people or steal from that village or kidnap those children.

I am odd like that.

I don’t a problem with it being an option the way auto loot is an option in the Controls section of the Interface but I do not want any more quests or objectives or anything else that are auto accept. In fact I would like none. I am on an adventure, not collecting a list of errands.

And I gotta ask, is it really that arduous?

There seems to be no particular reason why certain quests are flagged as autoaccept (“You discovered a quest!”) and others can be declined. In fact, some of the quests that are autoaccept and have to be abandoned are old quests that nobody at Blizzard in their right mind should want you to take the time to do instead of new content. Like opening the Molten Front. Hello?

Absolutely nobody at Blizzard would want people doing the quests to open the Molten Front.

Because then it would be immediately clear how good patch content used to be compared to how it is now

Please no. I hate that the callings are auto accept. You can’t even abandon them.

I wish we could toggle off auto-accept when gathering.
