Been over a month and auto looting is still broken. Do you think it will be fixed in time for the next xpac?

Whatâs broken? IIRC, it can only support like 5 pages of loot (20 items?)
Most of the time it fails to auto loot. The window pops up with the loot and it just sits there. Yes its set to auto loot in the settings. People have been reporting it since early access that its broken and yet not a word from Blizzard.

Havenât had any issues, I use the faster auto loot addon though.

Can second this. Maybe about 20% of the time, the loot function just completely forgets auto loot is enabled, and itâll just open the loot window without looting anything.

I just chalked it up to being phased onto a server that takes longer to communicate with. It usually feels like lag more than âbrokenâ

If it was lag, then it would eventually loot if you sit there. That is not the case.

Can confirm, it happens lots.
But then itâs been a thing since⌠well.
Pretty much since Auto Loot was added to the game, lol.
Itâs very inconsistent, intermittent, and all of those other âgoodâ (/sarcasm) words.

Annoying AF.
We need a button that says âLoot Allâ in the loot window so I donât have to re-loot to try to get auto-loot to work again and so I donât have to manually click each piece of loot.
I think it is lag, but not in the way you think.
1). You right click.
2). Client sends a âloot allâ command to the server.
3). Lag eats this command.
4). Server never receives the âloot allâ command.
5). Your client just sits there waiting for the response from the server that looting happened.
6). Nothing gets looted, and wonât, until you try again.

There seems to be a delay between items being available to loot and auto-loot activating them.
So if you kill, say, 5 mobs one after another, then loot immediately⌠youâll see 4 enemies worth of loot and auto-loot will fail.
It takes about 2 seconds before everything has squared away and you can loot properly.

Its annoying but in some cases it can kill you like when mining those TNT nodes, failing to auto loot could be the difference between getting out with your life and not.

I noticed this behavior too. I go to auto loot, nothing happens and I have to manually click everything a few times to get the loot. Itâs a real pain when you are trying to be quick and keep up with your groups.
Definitely still a thing. Very annoying.

Happens about 90-95% of the time roughly. Really sucks when, (having unlocking mounted gather for herb/ore) I try to pick a node before a hostile mob reaches me, fail the auto loot, and get dazed off my mount while trying to loot the items

all those do is set the delay from default 200 to 0 or around that.
you can make that change your self in cvar file.
Because we can get buffs that also reduce looting speed for certain things like gathering Iâm not sure that setting it to 0 is a good idea.
Iâve been fiddling with the delay speed an havenât found any that fixes it.
some of those addons even prevent the loot window from opening, so you may not even notice that you;'ve left thing behind.
Iâve had to click the same herb or ore several times to loot it with one so I stopped using them.
I just adjust the delay in the cvar settings.
Currently at default cuz yea, Iâm not seeing any fix at all.
Someone who works in server engineering IRL posted that they thought Blizzard was downgrading server performance to save mere pennies. That player sounded like he knew what he was talking about.

happens to me all the time. gets stuck on the loot window without looting anything. have to re-loot for it to grab the things.
I use that as well as a loot window extender.
I donât have pages or anything. Just one window. Super nice. (And I loot on mass instantaneously)
