Seems every time I make a new character I forget to turn auto loot on and it makes me wonder…
Why isn’t auto loot the default option?
Do people really manual loot, selecting each item one by one? Why?
Is there a way to make auto loot the default? Cause it’s annoying when you forget and queue into a dungeon on a level 10 allied race before questing and have to try to keep up while changing settings

Sometimes I leave auto loot off or turn it off to encourage me to mouse over the items, particularly in the newer expansions where there’s lore/flavor text.
But yeah, given the average gamer atm, I’m surprise auto loot isn’t on by default to cater to them. I feel like it’s more likely that having it off annoys people more than it encourages them to stop and smell the roses.
My last RP characters were alliance, but they are mostly abandoned for 2 years or more or dead.
Have a max Tauren Druid and a max HM shaman I’m going to focus on, and a lvl 10 Tauren pally I rolled this morning. Still working out RP angles, but when I get them settled (and the forums update my toons) I’ll try to find a way to introduce them.

You might be the only person I’ve ever seen actually reply with anything resembling an attempt at explaining their RP characters in a ‘should’ve been posted in general discussion or technical support thread but ended up on WrA somehow’ thread.
