Auto gold ban

And you and your 10000 forum posts are quite satisfied with that!

Bro you trying to rag on someone about forum posts and you in an FC called ImStuckStepBro?

“Mostly” and “In most cases” is not the smoking gun you think it is.

Again I’m not saying that EVERYONE who is getting slapped got automatically hit. This person was certainly flagged for behavior and someone most certainly reviewed that flag. His case is a non-issue imo.

That said, to act like there is no automated system in place is also very naive and even the blue posts use qualifying language and never outright say no bans are automated.

“certainly not for suspensions or closures”

“for exploitation and botting”

You should quote the whole thing.

Isn’t this “new tech?” How do you know Vrakthris’s old post is still applicable?

My responses to Amideus are specifically about player reports. Players can’t ban other players. I have no idea if Blizzard has implemented some AI assisted gold tracking automatic banning system, or whatever.

You don’t know any of that either. I see more people to add to the ignore list.

Based on what GDKP players were bragging about before the rules changed… Probably.

You seriously can’t tell that I’m the same guy? That common sense remark I made was really spot on.

“Blizzard has no way of detecting GDKP.”
“We’ll just organize through Discord.”
“Wait, why was I banned?”

If that were true then a friend of mine wouldn’t have received two 2 week bans for literally no reason. Both those bans were overturned too but took 13 days for one and 7 days for the other to be overturned after they were finally reviewed by an actual live person. The chat log on the second one for why he was banned was hilarious that that’s what people mass reported him for. They absolutely do do automated bans and I don’t think they would ever admit to it. “yeah guys we just uh have a script for bots to look for key words or if someone gets mass reported to automatically get a ban. So if you guys ever don’t like someone for killing a mob before you or world pvping you just get all your friends together and mass report them to make them get banned” I could see how much of a disaster that would be if they admitted it. So of course they would deny it. They don’t have to tell you the truth or their inner workings.

I don’t need Blizzard to tell me anything, this is a common sense question. Is it reasonable to believe that Blizzard has given every single player a percentage of the power to ban someone, and the only time anyone ever sees this power in action is when a group of players conspire to ban innocent players? Hundreds of thousands of people reporting bots and no one has ever witnessed a bot being automatically banned from their report.

No, it’s not reasonable to believe it. It is demonstrably false. We have exactly zero videos, zero evidence of any bots ever being automatically banned from player reports. The only time someone claims to have witnessed an automatic ban is when they or their friend were “mass reported for no reason.”

I can’t believe I have to say this again. Players can’t ban other players. I had someone on this forum claim he could auto-ban me “at the drop of a hat.” I logged in to the game and told him to find me at the tree in Stormwind near the AH. Once he realized he couldn’t ban me no matter how many people reported me, he went back to the forums to lie and claim I refused to participate in his experiment.

Players can’t ban other players.

I made this meme for this ridiculous community:

Man reading through some of these responses by the anti gdkpers… yikes. Implying that any form of large gold transactions is just a “gdkp workaround” is disturbing.

The simping for blizz as well, its wild. They quite clearly use terrible automation to detect this stuff, and it quite clearly false flags legitimate players all the time. Ya’ll just like to hold up your torches and pitchforks to anyone who gets a ban because they “must be lying” and are guilty no matter what.

What a terrible community

They broke the rules and got caught. Too bad, not sad.

Thats not breaking the rules.

I farmed Yeti’s in Feralas for 4 hours trying to get a beacon drop for two guildies in a party of five. I split the drop with them 5 ways. 300 gold each. None of us have been banned. I sold it within 5 minutes through the trade chat and split the gold with them shortly after.

It literally is.
