And you’re just inventing things that aren’t in the post, your own interpretation of the simultaneously crystal clear and intentionally vague rules. It’s wild.
Because not doing it this way leads to GDKP and RMT.
You really are a…
According to the rules, which you say are crystal clear, any dungeon or raid run where items are being awarded in exchange for gold is considered to be GDKP. Even if one person gets all the gold (selling an item after winning the roll could be considered GDKP with that wording). So if selling on the AH counted as items being awarded in exchange for gold, then selling literally anything from instanced content would be considered GDKP. I’m sure you can agree that banning players for selling random greens from low level dungeons is not in the spirit of this rule. Banning players for attempting to be fair with their friends by splitting the gold from a big drop is neither in the spirit of the rule nor the wording.
Since when is sharing gold among friends GDKP or RMT? You really don’t see how ridiculous that sounds eh?
Probably don’t have friends to play with I assume.
Go and transfer a large portion of that gold around between your own alts. At least 500g to a few alts. Or better donate 200g+ to your guild bank funds. Come back and let us know if you were banned or not.
It had always been a normal thing for guilds to run dungeons, an epic drops, and they split the gold from the AH dude. People did this back in 2004. This is how the game has always been played. You are being intentionally daft in spite of people you don’t even know. The GDKP ban is one thing, but this activity being held between some friends is now discouraged?
What are people supposed to do? Solo farm mobs for vendor trash? Is SOD ssf now?
What is going on with these weird regime of players wanting to split up interactions between players in sod?
I said it once and I’ll say it again.
Sod is full of exiles and rejects who could never have fun back in classic, and will ruin the game with their cult like pushing of prying away social interactions between players as the game goes on.
You will kill the game if this trend continues. It’s already bleeding players
was probably bought with RMT gold, and then you guys mailed RMT gold around to your guildies. Ofc this would flag the system
Wasnt me first of all.
It was flagged most likely cuz its all automated.
Oooooorr, maybe y’all don’t have the full story of what Blizz saw on it’s end. I’d guess that is the case here.
Maybe the OP could post in Customer Support and ask for clarification. Though, the extra clarification never seems to make the innocent victim look very innocent.
Well, not in any of the 100’s I’ve seen there. Maybe the OP could be a first! They could come back here and link a fuller, more detailed account of what actually happened.
Or not.
Ya im not quite sure i believe this story. Seems kinda ragebaity and does not fit the pattern of how gdkps did loot at all.
I don’t think selling BoE’s on the AH and then splitting the profits with your friend was in their mindset or against the rules. Selling BoP items obtained in a raid or dungeon in exchange for currency with other players of your dungeon was the intent.
Edit: Also not sure why people believe Blizzard doesn’t have automation in place. We’ve seen it on youtube - people mass reporting players and them being silenced. They could have easily flipped a switch for AI to detect these transactions on the AH/mail and ban these players. Microsoft did just downside Blizzard’s CS team tremendously.
I don’t understand how that would make it his fault and why he received a ban/suspension. Maybe they should get rid of the RMT and stop punishing people for receiving it fairly and unknowingly.
we all don’t know exactly what happened. What we know is what OP wants to tell. And noone here can help him to avoid suspension, except tell him to go post in CS forum.
However, any gold buyer can tell you the same that they received illicit gold “fairly and unknowingly”
I’m far more likely to believe what OP has said over anything blizzard will conjure up without an exact transcript. I’ve seen blizzard ban people for literally nothing in the past… I highly doubt they wouldn’t ban people over something like this, the CS is pointless and going there will probably amount to nothing, though he should try… a miracle might happen.
To be fair he thought blizzard were going to implement a system where you sent discord screenshots as proof people were gdkping, like the cast of csi miami crowding around the computer pointing at shadows’ newest discord sting operation. Reality has abandoned him
indeed, these ppl are brain dead
i guess i will leave sooner than later
have fun with ur low pop realms
Theyre gone, just stop passive aggressive crying about it in EVERY thread.
This is completely false. Players can’t automatically ban other players with right-click reports. If this were the case, multiboxers would have pseudo-GM banning powers and could police servers by themselves.
Imagine the stream content. “Hey guys, just going around banning bots. Tell me where you want me to go and I’ll ban some bots live!” There would be Discord communities telling players where to find bots to go ban them. We’d have actual evidence of this happening all the time instead of this one incident people always cite as evidence that happened three and a half years ago.
If all it took was a couple handfuls of reports to ban players or bots, why has no one ever witnessed their report being the one to take a bot offline? Thousands of people reporting bots all day and all we ever hear is “Reports do nothing.” Imagine believing a system exists that has never been shown to ban a cheater or bot and can apparently only ever be used when groups of players conspire to ban innocent players.
It takes the most basic level of critical thinking to realize the facts: Players can’t ban other players.
