So there have been lots of good changes with the M+ group finder, like the minimum rio score, and the rio score being implemented into the game.
I think another helpful change would be an optional optional accept for whatever first dps/heal/tank applies to the group in case I have to go to the bathroom or something and then I can come back to a full group. Opposed to the alternative which is one of us waiting when I’d invite whoever anyways.
I hate to be the bad guy here but auto-accept for M+ is a terrible idea.

Just an option for like a 9 or something where you can take anybody. You’d still be putting in minimum ilvl and rio so it would be fine for up to 16ish. Bonus, it would be great if it also did a little sound notification or texted me when the group filled.
Do you just want this so you can walk away and come back to a full group?
I believe people who are on the application listing show up in the order that they signed up. So when you get back from your break, if you just click accept on the first players of each role in the listing, it results in the same experience.
The difference in experience between the game automatically doing this for you and you doing it yourself doesn’t seem particularly noteworthy. It makes more sense for large groups for PuG content (ie, world bosses) where having warm bodies is what you’re after and you don’t wanna click accept 39 times.
I think it’s a great idea. People who don’t care about IO or experience can check that box to make it easy to build groups.

Seems like a recipe for more complaints. Most forum goers like to complain about everything, especially convenience features that may give them a bad apple in a group.
I see it now, keystones where everyone just starts yellin at each other.
That’s what I thought too, but those people will be waiting before they know I’ll take them, they might cancel their application, and other people who don’t have a spot open to them will waste their time applying. And it’s just more effort when I’ll be inviting whoever anyways.
This button exists when I make world boss groups and I love it! I hope they’d make it work for raids and dungeons, primarily with a certain composition because I don’t want 6 tanks, 0 healers, and 24 dps lol!
I better understand your use case now, thanks for clarifying
Still though, from your perspective, does it matter? I think the only case I can see it making a difference is if you’re a non-tank listing a group and need to step away. During this time a tank may apply to your group and, while waiting, get accepted to another group and leave. In any other case you’ll just pick someone else in the list when you get back.
Don’t get me wrong, if this were in I don’t think it would change my experience at all, but I do agree with others that it could set up unrealistic expectations for M+. There’s a reason that there’s no automatic group finder for M+ and that you have to build your groups manually. You’re expected to be selective about who you invite, though perhaps not as selective as some are these days
Still, the onus of putting together an effective team is on you. If a system automates this and if the group is not to your liking, it obscures that the responsibility was yours to begin with.
I think Blizzard could actually do a better job of communicating this, so people better know going in what they are getting into with M+ dungeons. They’re intended to be hard and while we might look back on keys lower than +10 right now and think they are trivial, to those not yet geared and not getting carried by friends, it can still be a challenging experience.
Anyway, that’s just my thoughts on the matter, for what they’re worth
Thank you for your perspective. I agree that for any pushing key, people should try to build an effective group (with lust, brez, important dispels, relevant cc) and be a little selective with their applicants. I mainly think about the lower keys (which you are right can be a challenge without someone who is geared, but in this case, thankfully my character is quite geared now!).
I mainly like to use the restroom between keys (rather than make people wait before putting the key in) and it would save me quite a bit of time if I’m running random low keys for fun and the group could be filled while I’m afk.
