Seriously? What was the point of this? Delete this requirement. It’s one of the most annoying things you’ve ever implemented.
You must have this in order to fully access the game you pay for.
it’s to stop spammers from clogging up listings.
That could be why OP dislikes this security measure.
Could be, I typed.

Youre a little late, but in the immortal words of John McClane, “Welcome to the party, pal!”
This just in: Malphas say OP is a spammer in totally unqualified statement! More on this breaking story at 11!
Imagine thinking that this is the only way to do that in current year.
Imagine, them caring about you wanting to edit your title and not already having this safety feature active.
Cant remember the last time I even had to look at my authenticator.
If you have a better suggestion, feel free to leave it below. Would be more productive than whatever this thread is currently.
Imagine NOT having an authenticator in the current year, when our accounts have possibly never been more valuable for scammers.
2021 called and it want’s it “outrage” topic back.
The game fills in the details for you with the key in your bags. You have full access to the game. Nothing is stopping you from playing.
Authenticator is 100% free if you have a smartphone, which almost everyone does these days.
Imagine whining about protecting your own account with multifactor authentication in 2022. Boomers doing boomer things again
Hey, I’m a Boomer and I was an early adopter of 2FA in WoW.
And just for the record, “Boomer” is (according to the US Supreme Court) an agist slur. Watch yourself.
You still have full access.
More proof that Blizzard cannot please everyone.
First people complain about the spammers flooding LFG, then they complain that steps are taken to filter out these spammers.
And then people wonder why Blizzard ignores 99% of the “advice/suggestions” on these forums
My only complaint is that they don’t actually ban the folks advertising carries as they said they would.
I report every one I see, every day and I make note of the “Leader” that posted it. So far I haven’t seen any indication that Blizzard is doing anything at all other than ignoring reports.
That’s because they don’t have a set team dedicated to that.
All reports are sent in, then must be reviewed when someone gets time, and then decisions are needed to be made, and then actions taken (usually in waves).
This isn’t an overnight process sadly
Obviously it doesn’t do that.
Reporting over 10 a day before they implemented this. Reporting over 10 a day after they implemented this.
The problem is take a look at how long a listing has been up. Three, four, and five days sometimes. It’s really unclear if reporting them does anything other than remove them from your personal list, and then only for as long as you stay logged in. Report one, log off and back in, and there it is again.
It changed nothing for the spammers, now they just have an authenticator app they use before they log in and list their ads which stay up for days.
