Authenticator help

Moved to the US. Have new phone. Want to use authenticator on the new device.

How do I move it?

If you have the old phone, you can use the restore code when you first installed the app to move it. If not, you’d need to remove it from the phone and account and apply it to the new phone with the new restore code. If you don’t have the phone, you can put in a ticket to have a GM remove it to apply the new app for the new phone.

OK. I have the old phone still, just won’t be using it. Where’s the restore code? I don’t know if I ever wrote one of those down. If I don’t have it I’ll just remove then add new one.

To get the serial and restore code, just start the battle net app, click on the Authenticator tab, then the gear/setting icon, should be on the right of the page that shows no login request.

You should also just be able to login to the app on the new phone as long as you have the old phone and it is still able to receive a SMS notification.

Might be easier to remove the old one first if the new phone also has a new number, and if you have access to the old one.

Personally, I’ve never had to use the restore code. When I download the app and sign in on the new device, it just works.

Nods will probably do this. thanks!
