I get that. Thing is, the squeaky wheel gets the grease.
When elitists get in a tizzy about things they don’t want (like Classic/Retail cross collection or a hint of nearly 20 year old “prestige” mounts going on the Trading Post) it’s far more likely Blizz will act to appease them rather than making collections more enjoyable for the whole community.
