It’s a duckling, which means it hasn’t fledged.
It’s also an apprentice mage and hasn’t earned a flying disk.

My preferred solution for this would be a backpack which could hold a single companion pet. Aura could ride around in the backpack!
Or you could use the solution already provided. Magical saucer toy.
