August 2020: Alliance is still waiting for our "fist pumping moment"

I’m sure it’s coming any day now.

You killed King Rastakan. Not enough?

Call me crazy, but I’ve always viewed that as a pretty individual, private kind of thing.

No, Teldrassil burned to the ground. Killing an NPC introduced 3 months prior is not enough.

You canonically won Darkshore and Arathi Highlands. Still not enough?

Won Darkshore after already owning the entire zone beforehand.

Literally who?

ok, well, uh…

You got an allied race for mechagnomes. That’s something good, right?

I make my own fist pumping moments in game. Imagine losing a BG as Horde

I honestly thought it was a joke at first. It really felt like one. Nobody asked for mechagnomes - gnomes being among the least popular races in my experience - but so many people wanted Vulpera.

But they’re Horde because reasons.

Alliance won the war. Shouldn’t they be celebrating victory in Azeroth day.
Might want to hurry, before the Scourge 2.0.

How many times have we, “won” - but it’s never actually shown?

And did the Alliance actually win? The Horde - once again - ended up rebelling against Sylvanas, just like with Garrosh. In what way did the Alliance win when they worked with the Horde again in the end?

Sadly, that wouldn’t work. Victory in Azeroth Day would be abbreviated VA Day. That is already taken by Veterans Day, celebrated every November 11th.

doesnt mean anything if they dont bother showing it in game though, most horde victories are shown in game so everywhere you go its pretty much horde kicking alliances butt

It’s interesting how much turn-over the World of Warcraft team has, because somehow we went from the writing in Catacylsm and MoP that built up and established Garrosh as a threat and the war between the Horde and Alliance during that time (Garrosh being the best OC the World of Warcraft team has ever created), to the mustache twirling 5D Chess Sylvanas BS we know and hate. How did it go so wrong? We literally already did the same story but ten times better previously.

Having said all that, I have to imagine BFA was bitter for players who are “loyal” to both sides. Alliance had a giant dump taken on them, and Horde had one of their most iconic characters killed and the Horde’s internal structure torn apart. Literally leaving the role of Warchief vacant… the new writers don’t understand the appeal of the Horde at all. Nobody who loved the Horde needed a meta commentary on the Horde.

BfA was tagged at Blizzcon as the expansion where “you’ll never feel so proud to be your faction.” But after all was said and done, not many liked the war campaign story. The Alliance lost a city and didn’t do anything better than neutral or strategic. And the Horde was straight up decimated both in forces and in government. Hard to be proud to be an Alliance or Horde with that story arc.

plus don’t forget Jaina conveniently blowing all the blight away and saving Anduin and co. in the battle of lordaeron.

Oh right. The Alliance has a walking Jainas Ex Machina.

So you consider not having our entire factions leaders wiped out at Lordaeron equal to burning Teldrassil? lmao

edit: if we got to destroy thunder bluff or orgrimmar i would consider it even
