i agree season 3
hopefully s2 wins so aug will be someone viable in pvp again, precience is useless in pvp
Yes, it does feel like a chore.
Aug is the lowest simming spec in the game right now, and that’s at the 99.5 percentile. Anyone playing outside of the race to world first will do about 10-15% more dps as Dev.
The season 2 set at the very least scales off of intellect which we are getting more of. They already had to nerf it before season 3 to make it an upgrade to swap tier sets.
The logs literally aren’t working lol, aug does less dam than dev but still does a ton more dam than other specs that are simming ‘low’.
They will be retuning the set/specs either way, we’re not going to just get a better tier because they copy paste and we have more primary.
They do this with a ton of sets to make sure people aren’t using 2 of each.
Vote season 2 make Aug great again
You keep bringing up proximity buffing as a major drawback for S2 but you’re completely ignoring the drawback of S3. In order to do optimal damage with the s3 set you need to put your logs into wowanalyzer to determine 30 second buff intervals, create an ERT note based on that, and sync that with a weakaura to tell you who to buff when. I’d much rather whisper the fire mage “hey try to be close to be” than do all that.
It’s exhausting and the S3 set promotes degenerate gameplay that no other spec needs to do. S2 may be “boring” but I’d much rather have that (tuned to appropriate levels) instead of more of what we have to do now.
And don’t come back with “only high level guilds need to do that” because the same could be said about proximity buffing.
I mean, just because you know the response doesn’t invalidate it. You’re literally just paraphrasing Preheat’s in-depth video. I don’t need an ERT note on who to buff and when, I just need a basic understanding of which classes are strong at what point in the fight. And I’ve never had to go to the lengths you’re talking about.
We’re far more mobile and have far more wiggle room for downtime compared to a full dps, not to mention that you may need to proximity buff a melee and a ranged simultaneously for the optimum output if you choose to take it to that level. Just because you want to be lazy and expect your dps to compensate doesn’t mean it’s the most efficient way to play it.
If people choose to do that in content that legitimately doesn’t require it, that’s their decision but by no means does the current tier set require it to do well.
Adding skill ceiling via a tier set for people that want it while having very minimal impact on the people that don’t is the definition of good design.
One million percent current season 3 for aug.
can they tell us what the season 2 bonus was? this lack of info is very strange with all the class polls. like “you should remember because you played in season 2 right…right?” no I did’nt.
Was thinking the same thing btw. They didn’t handle any of this well from not listing set bonuses to not having images of previous tier sets.
This is a good point. If it helps anyone, you can copy/paste the link below to jump to the sets compared in this wowhead article.

I honestly found the season 2 set bonus a bit dull. But, that’s not entirely unexpected, since it was introduced halfway through the tier when Aug came out.
The S3 set is really fun for me. Gives me really big uptime on Ebon Might.
Augs were in all forms of gameplay season 2, pvp mythic + and raids, and it was because of the set bonus, S3 there are almost no Augs anywhere and you morons vote for S3? unreal the education level of gamers
Ah yes it had absolutely nothing to do with being cartoonishly overtuned. That extra 1% primary and 30% empower dmg is what did it all on its own.
This is bait.
Season 3 set bonus are so good, they should be rolled into a talent. Having 3 to 4 Prescience buffs rolling feels so natural.
we should have the opportunity to play S1 set, make Aug a real dps with a little bit of suppport, and we didnt even had the chance to test the set, would be nice to have it in the pool
You can literally press shift J in game and look up every item set as they are now
But my disintegrate is bound to shift+J…
