Casted Healing Spells Prolong Temporary Buffs on Yourself, Excluding Ebon Might….Meaning, Healing Spells Will Prolong Buffs from Hover to Power Infusion adding +1-2 Seconds for each cast. This will be a challenge to keep up. Ebon Might also prolonging Temporary Buffs, could be a talent I suppose.
Empowered Hover and glide, Augmentation just being able to fly vertically under hover and cast under glide. Vertical distance and/or glide increases range.
I think with these changes it will increase the skill and power level of the spec but seems to also fulfill the flying dragon fighting style you’d expect out of a game. Technically speaking I think this rework is more of a tweak because it is relatively more simple to implement without affecting much of it’s rotation or kit.
Not going to lie this sounds like a literal nightmare to play. Outside of blossom/VE which have decent CDs you’re just arbitrarily casting living flame times infinity even when they aren’t needed to maintain buff durations?
You’d sacrifice so much personal damage to do this that it wouldn’t ever be worth it unless you were actually replacing a healer which isn’t possible with how much they’ve reduced our survivability and utility.
Maybe I’m fundamentally misunderstanding the suggestion though, idk.
Like if you’re just saying you want us to get added benefit from our healing spells as well as our damage spells, I get that, but it wouldn’t fundamentally change the way the spec played. You would just directionally get more power from incidental healing, which would just mean they’d rebalance the spec and take power away from somewhere else
I think you’re correct there. This is an alt of mine and I guess I didn’t really think it through entirely.
I guess increase the time I guess healing spells would extend the buffs by 15-25 secs if it’s just those spells that count, not passive healing. If passive healing is included, maybe 15 secs would be appropriate.
I think if done properly it would make Augmentation considered (at least eventually) for like trying to beat record speeds maybe , as the Aug gets empowered consistently by other classes buffs and retains them and builds up power through the run. The average player would not see a need to have a slow build up at the beginning to zoom through the last half. I don’t know I’m just brainstorming here.
I mean realistically the way to make Aug work as an offhealer/hybrid is just to make a blossom build with symbiotic bloom/dream of spring and take healing increase talents.
The problem is that the barrier here is the mana cost of blossom being unaffected by that talent, so you effectively go oom without getting lots of value from the talent point(s).
If they made it DRASTICALLY reduce or remove the mana cost of blossom, you have some really interesting flex builds that could actually work for fights where you need a LITTLE more healing juice, but don’t want to sacrifice a full dps for another healer.
Not sure why they even keep the talent if they’re not going to make the playstyle even baseline playable.
Nothing wrong with brainstorming lol, just providing extra context/POV.
