Dont get me wrong, it works. Its fantastic as it is, but it could benefit from a few tweaks in the class tree and a slight change to the spec tree.
First of all Leaping flames should effect Upheaval.

While keeping Ebon might is the number one priority. Spreading out your Empowers to give the mastery to a 5man group on a permanent basis is your main goal in 2man content. At current (before tweaking of numbers) mastery is providing an increase to dps near you in equal parts vers. This means spamming it in 5man content outside of a boss fight or some really hard mechanic would have no benefit. And since it ideally picks dps you dont really want to do that the whole time. Extending ebon might by 2seconds (down from 4) is also great on both Fire Breath and Upheaval.

The problem is Upheaval doesnt really do much outside of AoE damage vs what fire breath does. Fire Breath is always the better choice to cast. Upheaval has CD reduction with eruption which is also very good and a talent for Eons to cast 3 Eruptions to reduce and extend. Living flame how ever provides so many Essence burst resets that getting one is your major priority when Fire breath is up simply because of Leaping flames.

4targets + primary + cleave with Living flame talent Pupil of Alexstraza is 6 hits in a trash pack that would let you have a 20% chance at proccing essence burst. How ever what does upheaveal do. Slightly boops them and interrupts, which is powerful and spec defining skill going forward. You would not be using the talent to pop them in the air to interrupt tho its just a perk.

If you applied Leaping flames to Upheaval it would offer you a choice on what you need at the time instead of it being , fire breath only because essence burst to keep ebon might up.
Panacea should be a choice talent pushed to the side off the tree. Font of Magic should be pulled out of spec trees and put into Class tree in place of Panacea.

Panacea is the final talent in a long line of Emerald Blossom talents and mandatory for ANY pvp player or Presto Evoker. It is how ever not of value to take it just to get to Renewing Blaze or Rescue. It is in the best interest to get it for the talent after it for Lush Growth.

This is where things will get wild tho. Font of Magic is in all 3 specs, It is basically a mandatory talent except for unique situations, Where you would benefit from it but dont have the point to spare in Presto.

Font of Magic is currently in a spot on the Tree for Augmentation that makes little to no sense. To get to it you take the mandatory talent of Draconic Attunements or the situational Talent of Blistering Scales (will be used but not as much as you think in lower content).

Its worse for Presto. Lifebind locks Font of Magic making it a hard requirement, When some dungeon groups you never use Verdant Embrace.

Devastation its locked on the left side Behind Burnout, which is a talent you will probably end up taking regardless.

All 3 specs will end up taking Font of Magic making it a dead talent point for the spec tree and more of a class tree thing. More damage/Healing/Leaping flames means less impact.
Cauterize needs charges for Augmentation. And Augmentation needs a Battle rez.

These 2 are complete changes but for the better. Augmentation spec its self needs a Bronze ability called “Restore time” or something like that, that returns a player from the dead in combat. You might be asking yourself why does Augmentation need a Battle rezz. Simple, it isnt engaging enough. In the peak rotation with out dispelling or healing you have 8 buttons. Is this enough? Not really, 7 of those 8 buttons are CD related, some being 3seconds per cast (essence locked) and some being 2minutes to cast. Riddled inbetween it is just 10 and 30second cooldowns galore. This would make you living flame machines. On bosses your living flame will cleave and heal the closest target (usually the tank).

This will take a job away from the healer which honestly Healers dont need to heal a good tank til about 18s in a serious situation, splash heals mostly.

That brings it to the next point, With the new Mythic + affixes coming out which require dispelling or healing, technically you could cleave off afflicted and heal the affix while also healing the tank or dpsing the mob (depends what living flame wants to do really).

Sure gives healers another job to do but in a situation where Augmentation is so rely heavy on allies they could also help them more then they currently do. 2 charges of Cauterzie but it increases the timer to 1minute 30seconds, resetting both charges when it refreshes could actually help in so many scenarios its insane. Raid mechanics, ok let the Augment do it. Bleeds on boss mechanics, let the augment do it. Maybe it loses the base dispel as a talent choice tho when you pick this talent.
Tip the scales should be a baseline Augmentation talent that is picked up automatically.
- Devastation does not get Obsidian scales nor Expunge, just as Preservation does not get Obsidian scales and Landslide. Augmentation however gets Obsidian scales and Landslide. While these are based around lore such as , black dragon spec should know how black dragon spell works, you could also argue that tip the scales is a bronze dragon spell and should know how it works.
- Adding that 1 point back into the talent tree for class would provide build diversity from what most Devastations are doing and let you go full Time spiral and zephyr instead of 1 or the other. Adding MORE utility to their kit and letting us actually take those talent choices with out feeling bad about taking both of them earlier on in the tree.
Finally, Eruption should have a small chance to proc a second cast at Lower damage.

The damage for this would be basically pointless, the reasoning behind it is that While essence burst procs come with so many Living flames with Leaping flames, We still need to cast them. The cast time is brutal and you can feel your 1 second not mattering more and more over time. Yes We should be focusing on keeping Ebon Might up at all times, Yes during massive haste windows you will have some insane cast speeds to keep it up. Ebon might caps out at 11seconds (i think its 12 but it instantly ticks to 11) regardless of what spell you hit. So over time even with 18% haste you lose .7 of a second every time you spam your full rotation out, With no instant cast procs it is just brutal to watch it tick down slowly and HOPE you can drag it out to close to the situation as humanly possible. Even with all these essence burst procs you honestly can never keep up. Which is a good thing!

Providing a small lesser eruption that has a small chance to proc and only offer like .5 of a second to the timer instead of a second like the base eruption would make it feel less bad. I understand why we dont have instant eruptions as those would just instantly be a free second (GCD takes it down to about .5 of a second but its enough) a small 1.5second instead of a second would increase its uptime by about, well not 50% but 20% for sure.

Atm the rotatation is looking like this.
Ebon Might, Living flame Living flame, Upheaval Rank 1, Eruption, Eruption Eruption (at this point your ebon might time is at 9seconds still), Tip the scales , Fire Breath, Living flame, Living flame, (almost always gets 2 procs of essence burst) (at this point your ebon might is at 8seconds), Eruption, Eruption Eruption Eruption (4th is from essence burst) (at this point you are at 4seconds.) Everything is on CD so spam Living flame and hope to get the essence burst proc to keep ebon might going for an extra second. -
Adding in a .5 proc chance would extend it to about 6seconds at the end which is enough time to get ebon might up again with only about 4seconds of down time.

This does not include Eons as when you pop eons you can just keep Ebon might up the whole time because of the Eruption procs adding 6seconds instantly.
