Ebon Might needs to go. Take the power out of buffing your entire team and put it into their personal power. Keep Prescience (Buff this to 5% crit) , Source of Magic (Buff to 5% Damage and Healing) and Blistering Scales (Keep the same) to still support your team. Buff the damage of our rotation. Solo content doesnt feel fun with this class compared to other DPS, so this would solve that issue too. Mythic+ is on a dangerous pathway with how high keys are requiring certain comps. It isn’t healthy and something needs to change.
Has always “required” certain comps for high keys. It’s an infinitely scaling system.
which part of support class did you missed?
why would you try to solo anything as augmentation? go devastation.
It’s too much of a support to where:
A. Solo content feels bad.
B. It’s a required spec that boosts certain classes way too well.
i think it’s a mistake to keep it like this.
Again support class. Learn what support means. You have a dps spec it’s called devastation.
It boost every class well. It’s night and day when you have an Augvoker in your party for m+. And yes I agree it needs a nerf. But what your asking is basicly ruining what the class stands for.
It’s like any healer doing solo content in their heal spec instead of DPS…Obviously there’s always a pure DPS spec for this kind of classes, the purpouse is also to provide a way to solo leveling…gameplay. That’s why Blizzard don’t release a class without a DPS spec.
I think Ret Paladin is a good example of a DPS spec that still supports your team. Whether it be from off healing, damage reductions and utility. It still does great personal DPS. Augvoker leans a little too far into boosting other classes. And I understand that’s the point of their design, and that’s why I think it’s unhealthy. People are able to abuse this way too hard and it’s starting to cause problems. Mythic+ is requiring Augs, people are stacking 22 Augs to boost one Unholy DK to do 13 million DPS in raids. This is only the beginning. Shift some of that power to their personal damage but still keep it focused on buffing and supporting their allies. A tuning pass is all I’m asking for, which you agree to. Turn Ebon Might into a 5% damage boost to the team and add 40% to all of our other spells.
because that’s what they are supposed to do ![]()
-
it isn’t there damage in keys, you would do more damage with a 3rd dps, it’s their survivability and group defensives.
-
the raid problem is fixed by not letting buffs stack. Ie changing the ebon might forced on prescience targets.
I think you’re missing my point.
They took our jobs!!!
All you are suggesting would not make it a support spec. Support give other party members huge buffs but do not do as much dps or healing on their own.
edit: Honestly I do not know why WoW did not have such specs to begin with. Sure some classes gave buffs but it was not their playstyle.
And our tax money!!!
Your point means nothing. It destroys the trinity which is a good thing.
It’s not a Support spec, it’s a DPS. If they had their own icon and were limited in raids and required in one spot I would understand. But they’re a DPS.
Augmentation is too strong right now, but I don’t think that means Blizzard should abandon their spec identity and just turn them into an average DPS spec. That’s not what they are supposed to be.
It’s obvious there’s going to be some changes regarding scenarios like those 22 evokers stacking for a raid, I’m dissapointed that Blizzard didn’t consider those scenarios during testing and just let the playerbase find the issues for them, Its the first Support Class in this game, there’s people kicking them from M+ because Details doesn’t catch the right stats, there’s a lot of drama and discussion around the class. Just be patient, changes will come for this and any other class as always.
You want more power for this as DPS but its a support role, Maybe we need another icon for support and some changes to the names to avoid confusion with DPS. Solo content with the pure DPS spec and M+ high keys has always been about certain comps, it’s better if you do your own M+ group in order to avoid the meta around high keys via pugging.
Just shift a little bit of their group buff potential into their personal damage. It’s not removing their identity or their utility. They’re still about buffing and supporting their team.
nope I see your point and I think it’s trash. You’re the 1 missing the point here
