It’s because aff dies to air against melee, the defense versus melee keeps it from being viable. It’s not 2012 anymore, affliction warlock is not very strong. The damage is good, but it lacks finishing power and doesn’t handle being ridden by melee well at all.
Try and play an aff lock with 1 school (similar to Aug having 1 school to cast from) and being ridden by a DH, WW monk, or Unholy DK.

Yea kinda get that problem with this build aswell, just no way to secure. I’ve had so many games where someone gets to 10% and I just can’t get the last little bit of damage because I already used it all…
It seems like it depends on the lobby aswell, sometimes I’ll be doing top dps with 150k DPS and we just win with pressure then other times I get trained and just end up doing bottom dps.
Aug not really having a place in arena is ultimately the reason this season is better than last
It was a failed experiment and going forward I hope that you can find this level of passion for something less damaging to the game because it’s refreshing seeing someone care so much about their spec of choice

Interesting take to call this season better than last as well as calling the newest spec and content feature of the expansion a “Failed experiment”.
I should probably play something more honorable like Ele Shaman.

I didn’t play a ret during ret rework. I just play w/e chars I want to 1800 to collect a lil tmog. I entirely agree that ret post the rework was an abomination, you will never find a quote of me saying otherwise.
Aug does nothing to make the game more fun for anyone, its typically mindless morons who have a history of performing sub par that eventually hit an all time best on a spec like that and then get emotionally tied to it because its the only thing they’ve ever been able to achieve anything on.
Seems like more of a projection from you than anything.
