What’s the deal with these? So hard to get they are 1000 gold or so on my server. Don’t persist through death.

Let scribes make them, or let them make 1 or 2 star versions and keep your 3 star version for whatever BS you want with patron orders to make your WoW token money.

Persist through death, it happens.

Put a reusable one on a rep at the beginning of an expansion. I know you want to put it on a new patch faction at the end of the expansion to keep people paying, but people will pay if the patch is good.
They want you to suffer through LFR to get them.
Yeah, they’re there to bribe high-end players (who are the only ones who use them regularly) to do LFR and 5-man LFD stuff.
Or to bribe other people to get them to sell to high-end players.
Basically, they’re there to bribe people to run queued content, because otherwise it would wither on the vine.
Blizzard admitted that they do this, years ago. The phrasing they used was funny, they said they put in incentives for people who shouldn’t be there, in order to “smooth out the runs”.
Which is just the funniest expression I think they’ve ever used. Probably wasn’t even intentional.

Useless for anything but trying to parse. Even in a progression mythic raid this crap is useless compared to the gold you spend on them. The only people using it are probably hall of fame raiders and higher.

We don’t use them on every pull but if there’s a hard DPS check in the last phase of an end-tier boss, we have everyone pop them at the start of Phase 3 or whatever.
No point using them for the start of the fight if it’s an encounter where RNG etc. can easily cause wipes (as most fights do, these days).

Yea that’s probably the only way they see use, I can see it through that lens. I haven’t seen a really hard damage check this season, especially because of raid buff this tier though.
99% of players are not doing content where they need to use Augment Runes, yourself included.
We don’t even use them in HoF. The only time we do is a boss like Kyveza where you can reset on wipes and usually preserve them.
OR if a fight has % based phases at the start of the final phase. But bliz haven’t been doing % based phases recently, it’s all time based so damage in P1 matters as much as in P3.
