Got kicked yesterday on my Aug before the last boss died because I was doing 38k DPS. Lol this community is a joke don’t even understand how augmen works.

Its getting to the point Blizzard NEEDS to open up the Damage Meters creators to allow them to make their addons work as they should for Augmention Evoker to appropriately have their damage calculated properly.
I even ended up catching a few online articles talking about this now. Its going to get bad apparently.

Logs so it correctly but who actually logs in M+. Not many I would assume.
To the point there’s people whining how bad augmentation is, its becoming clear that is the case.
Hoping people finally realize 30-50k dps is an understandable number for Augs. The spec also relies on the other dps living too… which one died twice early on bosses
It would help if Blizzard allowed the numbers to correctly show up for any meters addon because from what I’m hearing, Addons cannot access the “Hook Damage” of applied buffs = amount of damage made/increased back to Augmentation. It would have actually helped avoid this issue to begin with.
Though I hope I am wrong about that rumor. Still, just the fact people don’t think twice about why their damage is low to begin with directly while their whole point is buffing a entire party is the focus. Had a whole patch to know this and players are that stupid to neglect a specialization’s design.

Unfortunately, your only safe bet is to play with a guild, most pugs don’t have the brain capacity to understand that our role is making their damage go up, they do what they’ve always done, look at the dps meters, see us at the bottom, and just automatically assume we’re not pulling our weight. Instant boot, for doing your job correctly. I tested Augmentation during a heroic yesterday, a ret paladin was the highest dps, so I made sure to buff him first, on one boss fight he maintained 236k dps, and at the end of the dungeon his overall maintained damage was 107k, pretty sure I played a part in that.

It’s hit or miss for me some of the community is dumb af so you have to assume those won’t understand what you are bringing to the table. I made a WW hit 2m dps on a aoe pull with trinket/ebon might/prescience and he said this is the most incredible spec every made. Then the very next run “VOKER WHY U SOME DUMB DO NO DAMAGE???”. This is literally only happening because the zugzug brains only look at dps meters. Blizzard needs to add the hooks so details can show the aug damage already. I’d personally want it to see how much I’m contributing during the dungeon logs feels bad when you finish and cant even remember what happened pack to pack.

I just been with a buddy making our own groups so don’t have to worry bout it. Most times it’s healers or other DPS dropping out group and I’m wondering if they are just leaving thinking it’s because my dps is low lol
Mines 413 and I do about 50k on a really good pull and the other DPS I got hitting for close or over 100k
So I must be doing something right. I need to check m+ logs

Yes, people at the low end are stupid and don’t realize how Augment works yet.

Stop pugging. Keep to organized groups and friends. You are only frustrating yourself hoping a bunch of mayo brained glue-sniffers are going to understand anything outside their own selfish perspectives.

Not only that, logs are not 100% accurate for augmentation. Specifically when you run with classes that rely on pets (i.e. demo locks and uh DKs). The damage done from the pets is not being attributed back to the augvoker.

I hate that aspect about Aug, when someone dies or what not the stat attribution should stack and go to another DPS or back to the augvoker.

Thats 18k more dps than ive managed on my evoker so far.
Its directly related to the fact that its labeled as a dps. Ive been arguing with so many people about this. Even people who think AUG is op and needs dps nerfed.
It just plain and simply not a dps. Its a support, and it does that well. In fact, its doing it exactly how Blizzard described it, for the amount they said it would.
But because its labeled as a dps, people have this perception that it either should be doing massive damage on the meeters like everyone else, or, less healing and heal/tank buffing and only stick to dps enhancements instead.
Blizzard made a new role, said its a new role, described it as a new role, but didnt make it a new role. That was a corporates decision to push Aug out faster to improve numbers. Aug is super strong and will remain so, to keep those numbers long enough for the next push in 10.1.7.
I for one hope they see that there is a decent group of people who want this role and expand on it, adding 3-5 more specs of different support archetypes like bard, war dance, field commander (maybe not sure about that one), curse/debuf lock, pally dedicated to aura supports, shaman dedicated to totem supports (although i think more people would rather have a tank spec).
Lots of development here that could help extend the life of this old game even longer.
