(on augment) I pick 2 dps and the same tanks every run. Rather than make macros name changes every run or search their names in the raid frames I’d like to set focus and or beacon them in a way. pls

This would remove a lot of the flexibility and skill expression of the spec, there’s already a pretty simple playstyle and this is a differentiator from good to great players.
If you REALLY want to focus the same two people every run, even though not ideal, it should be pretty simple to just do those /target {player name} macros.

I’m learning how to try and play augmentation more optimally-primarily in a raid setting and can’t find any answers. This thread seems like the right place to ask my question. Do either of you by chance know if it’s possible to focus more than one player target at a time (not in like a dungeon group)? When I right click a player, I seem to only be able to focus one at a time. Any advice helps. 
You can only set focus to 1 player at a time.

There is a clickable Prescience weakaura on Wagio.
In his description he mentioned something cool im trying to set up.
All credit for the idea goes to him.
Vuhdo, the healing addon. You can set it up to have a seperate unit frames as “private tanks.” So if you only want to buff certain players (say friends and family guilds, where you have limited amout of pumpers) you can mark them as private tanks and have only them on a seperate frames.
Best part, since its Vuhdo, you can set up click casting. For example right clicking on the unit frames casts Living flames while left clicking on thr frames casts Prescience.

Normally i would agrees with you. I even talked about the skill cieling in other threads.
9/10 times youre right. Swapping targets and knowing cd usage is a masdive boast to Aug, but sometomes you got to consider player skill.
Im in an AOTC friends and Family guild. Weve been playing together since vanillia. Each raid i can count on 4-5 pumpers, 2-3 carried and alot more somewhere inbetween.
I could boast say a fire mage during combust. But if the mage is a 40-60 parser, i will get more bang for my buck instead boasting a hunter whom i know will be 85-95 parse.
Its teams like this where something simple like a macro would be more handy, if before the pull i know who I will be buffing up.
This is how our guild does it too. We know who the big pumpers are, who has best openers, who has best over time dps.
So i focus our fire mage, when I am playing well, he is top.
Our other aug focuses our FDK, when he plays well, she is top. Its neck and neck with all of us racing to the top.
Four our second dps, the other aug has 2 focus targets and the second one i think he is rolling on our Uhdk. I let my second one smartcast.
This spreads some love onto other people, lets them feel good, but my log might be 4-5k less as a result.
We are alt running Heroic at this point anyways but still.

I use standard party frames and clique, like I do for all my healers. It tracks the buff on their frame and makes it very easy to apply
I use mouseover macros for it.
Why are you not stacking your buffs?
We are.
Opening is on FDK and Uhdk and then we switch to focusing fdk and fire mage as they get the best synergy from prescience.
This read like you were buffing different people, idk.

That’s how I read it. 
at the time of that post possibly.
But yesterday the above description of stacking is how we did it. Made new focus macros specifically for our guild group. I mean, we didnt even know we could stack till the video came out and then we spent the first raid day stacking on just one player. Then realized how we could stack 2 by second day.
I made a joke about having a mini keyboard that just has a bunch of macros with each persons character so i could more easily switch prescience targets.
It also could have gotten lost in translation too… so could be my bad.

Thankfully we have two augs now besides me so I get to stay devo. It is absolutely disgusting how well they work with Aug buffs.
Our first time Aug got orange parses on every heroic fight just perma buffing me and I was finishing 35-60k higher on details than our warlock that’s usually destroying me (he was perma buffed too, and getting pi which I wasn’t)
