Aug Damage

Did they nerf eruption damage somewhere? I’m hitting substantially less hard this week than I did last, and I’ve got better gear. Used to normal hit 1.4m eruptions with 2set upheaval and ebon might rolling, now I’m lucky if I crit for 1.1m.

It’s like they tuned some modifier into this week that just gutted our damage (this is for PvP)

Week over week on a mythic fight I just checked, my average eruption is hitting ~40k harder this week than it was last week.

With some ilvl upgrade this doesn’t look like anything changed.

Do you have logs showing this, or are you basing it off just looking at numbers from your SCT?

Don’t have logs as I don’t log PvP encounters but maybe I should start since it would be good to have data comparison.

The only thing I can think of that would be different is vers levels on players but I wouldn’t think current secondaries would have enough of an effect to swing the damage difference I’m seeing week to week here.

Yeah I mean if we’re talking PvP there are a TON of factors that could affect it.

AI, chaos brand, plenty of other debuffs and buffs could drastically swing this as well as potential defensive buffs for other players. I’d agree with you that vers shouldn’t create that much of a swing in what you’re seeing unless it was an incredibly small sample size of players with an outsized amount of vers.

I don’t PvP much anymore so maybe it was a stealth nerf to PvP and someone with more experience in that could chime in, but as far as PvE it looks relatively fine.

Does eruption count as physical damage? Does player armor affect it?

were you playing a build with molten embers last week?

Come to think of it, this is probably the most likely explanation I’d think.
