been playing this game for over 20 years, all but a few occasions ive played with the game sounds muted. all i hear is a bajillion other sounds from other players, in raid it’s a cluster. recently I was asked how i play without ingame sounds and i showed someone, and everyone else i play with their client only plays their own abilities and attacks, where mine is everyone around me. I have looked for settings, tried lowering sound channels, etc. and still cannot match what other have by what seems as default. I used to use “mute annoying sounds” but that addon has since broken. any sound option advice or cvars I would appreciate (with some explanation on what each setting is supposed to do, in theory)
no its not ability errors, no its not “not enough **” its literally just the sounds of auto attacks, spell casts/lands, any other abilities. drowning out my own.
