I am having an issue where every 2 - 3 seconds I am hearing “I need to target something first” and showing “invalid target” on the screen. If I target Friendly or enemy the same error is coming out with nothing happening.
I already tried disabling all my addons, removing all peripherals including the keyboard and mouse, and still have the same error. I also did a scan and repair from the launcher.
This problem started when I was on Mechagon doing quests. The last quest I did before this issue started was the one where you stand in a circle and bots attack you. After that quest this happened. I abandoned all mechagon quests and still have this issue.
Update - I posted originally in Technical Support forum and they had me reset my Interface, Cache, and WTF folders. I then did a scan and repair, and I still have the same issue. I was told to post this here to report it as a bug.
Update#2 - I just notice that this problem is only happening on my Shaman. All other toons are not effected by this bug, at the moment.
Is there any other options to fix this issue, it is very annoying.
- Update#3: I was able to fix this issue myself. If you go into System > Sounds and toggle “error speech” on and off it will stop this error from happening.
