My bear pet makes little groans and sounds now. I get it, he’s dead, that’s terrible, but was this an added feature Blizzard put in? I can’t get this bear to shut up. I have turned off pet sound, I have found a console command on the web, nothing. I have rebooted, I have restarted my computer, I have no mods running other then total roleplay and even when I turn that off my BEAR WON’T SHUT UP!
I don’t wanna ditch this bear, I like bears, but how do I make it stop making little noises all the time?
I eventually had to change out to a whole new bear. Apparently it’s just one specific bear (so far) that constantly makes noise and that’s the plagued bears in Silverpine. They just won’t shut up. It’s like constant little grunts and moans and noises and there’s no way to make them stop. It gets annoying,
Here is the issue Blizzard. With Addons, without addons, and this is a brand new bear pet because the other wouldn’t shut up. With and without pet sounds turned on in the interface.
So just to clarify some stuff that wasn’t shown here. This is the second bear i’ve tamed that is the disease bear skin. I am not sure if it’s that specific bear skin, but what I do know is that the bear doesn’t make sound until after a couple of hours of it being active. It’s just this character so far that it’s happening to, my night elf above has a dead bear and it doesn’t do this. Both of these bears are tamed from Tirisfal, and i’m going to try to tame one in Plaguelands and see if it continues to do this.
Update 2: I tame a bear in the Plaguelands and it immediately started doing the above behavior.
Update 3: Non-tamed bears in Plaguelands are doing this as well.
Update 4: Ok so this looks like an issue with that specific skin. I tamed a Plagued Bruin in Tirisfal and this ones not making the noises from the video. It doesn’t make any noise at all outside of the normal bear sounds.
Update 5: Dismissed the Black Bear, summoned the Brown Bear, the brown bear made no noise. Dismissed the brown bear and brought in the black bear, black bear went back to making the video noises so it’s an issue with the Diseased bears with the black skin.
This seems like an audio bug with that specific bear model. Unfortunately there’s no way to just turn off the sounds from the bear itself, so taming a new bear would be the best work around for now.
