I’m having this issue where all my game sound completely crashes, which turns off all system audio (discord, spotify, et al.) Eventually if I wait the sound sometimes comes back, but I have to completely restart discord to get that to work again, and no other system audio works without a full system restart. I don’t know if it’s WoW crashing my sound card, or something else, but this problem has only happened since Dragonflights launch…
If I force close Windows Audio Device Graph Isolation in the task manager, the sound comes back right away for the game, but all the other issues remain.

I have been having this same issue since I installed the new Xpac. I never had the issue before the Xpac was installed…and it does not matter if I am running the new version or WOTLK Classic.
I am having a very similar issue. Typically the audio of the game begins to crash and the sound of discord “cackling” sort of like a connection issue used to sound like when the “robot” sounds occur. Then the audio all dies and people state that I sound like a bomb went off on discord. All audio dies and I have to re-select all audio inputs again. I have confirmed its not happening with any other game, and I have reinstalled every audio driver I possibly could find. I thought this was isolated to me, but it has occurred only since the new expansion.
I am also having this issue in Classic. Only on boss fights in Ulduar so far.
Anyone find a fix for it?
I am also having this issue at the moment. I have to shut off my PC entirely to get my sound completely back.
I am also having this issue, Im on WOW Classic Hardcore and it happens randomly as im doing my Tauren quests.
same problem. if I’m in discord voice and the game, the audio just dies. But in Dragonflight, lol.
