Basically calling for a change to the current auction house 2 day maximum posting timer.
I was selling
15 full sets of armor, 5 scale 5 leather 5 plate (7 peices each) using all five item level adjusters (artifacts)
Including a few sets of weapons.
Plus four full set of rings and necks
Overall its 170 items
Having to repost them every 48hrs felt like an enormus task after comming home from work.
Therefor I had to stop.
Most of my gametime was eaten up by just reposting/re verifying prices on my gear.
I beg you blizz make there a 5 and 10 day post option.
I really want to continue working with my excel spread sheet making armor out of materials i gather myself but 48 hrs is barely enough time up before having to repost again.
Or maybe just a “repost/renew item button” on your mailbox when the item expires and goes there

Either one would be fine
Both would be ideal
48h is already too long. It should be at max 8 hours to reduce undercutting. Also, you can get TSM to automatically calculate the posting price. ~150 items is almost nothing and would only take ~2 minutes to post with TSM.
Whats gonna happen when someone undercuts you on all those items ? Even during the 2 day or 5 - 10 days you just waisted your time and gota repost
8h is too short, because you have to check posting 3 times a day and some people have lives outside the game. I’d be fine with options for 8/12/24 intead of 12/24/48, but I’m sure others like the OP would rather shift all options longer vice shorter.
Also, I don’t think 8h would make much of a noticeable change to undercutting. The only effective way to eliminate that, imo, is for Blizzard to automate pricing based on supply/demand imbalance using the same algorithm as the WoW Token pricing. Probably would only work for region-wide commodities, but it’d be a start.

some people have lives and would like to not have to log back into wow every 8 hours just to relist items theyre trying to sell.

That is exactly the point. It would make more auctions expire so they would stay up less. If an auction doesn’t sell within 2 hours it’s already very very unlikely to sell. If it’s up for another 46 hours then that just forces other people to lower the price.
Scenario 1: auctions have a 48 hour duration
A posts an item for 10,000g for 24 hours
B posts an item for 5,000g for 48 hours
A then comes back the next day and the price is 5,000g
Scenario 2: auctions have an 8 hour duration
A posts an item for 10,000g for 4 hours
B posts an item for 5,000 for 8 hours
A then comes back the next day and the price is 10,000g.
You should try transmog selling. If a mog seller has less than 500 items up on the AH, they arent trying hard.
Try reposting that many…

Undercutting is just part of the game. Theres no set time in that someone will buy your item.
My prices are based on current market data combined with my own mathmatics. If soneone wants to post the same item for less go ahed, mine will still be up on the auction house after the undercut is gone.
Its nice having a portion of my life back that i decicated to posting all these items.
I will not download 3rd party addons to do sonething for me at risk of infecting or corrupting my computer.
48 hours just isint long enough
7 days would be an acceptable start in the right direction for people with lives outside this game, reposting several hundred items once a week is more than enough to do for soneone not downloading automated 3rd party addons.
I dont care if someone undercuts me. It dosent change that i want it posted for 7 days.
At the end of a week i can log on and check off whats being sold at what price in my excel sheet and if its not selling i can lower the price if i want to.
I can periodically check during the week using mobile auction house on my phone from work or my car to see if someone is undercutting me time and time again, and maybe, log on once or twice in the middle of the week to cancle an item or TWO and repost them for a lower more competitive price
Say for instance its summer time, you spend a few hours gathering all your material, you hand craft 15 full sets of gear and 3 sets of rings/necks and 5 sets of weapons.
Thats 150+ individual items to be looked at/crafted/priced and posted.
(And if your like me take the additional step of manually entering data into a spread sheet)
Then say you want to go for an extended vacation with friends or family for 5 or 7 days (two weeks even)
It should be allowable for a person to post their items and walk away from the computer for that long without having to repost items.
It is understood the longer aution will have a higer posting fee.
It is also understood that undercutting is a thing and CAN happen.
But theres something really nice about knowing you have atleast a CHANCE at selling your items while your away and not have all your auctions expire 48 hrs into a 5 or 7 or 14 day trip away from the computer
