What is api? Not being snarky, just don’t know what it is.
API is the acronym for application programming interface — a software intermediary that allows two applications to talk to each other.
it is what they use for addons to pull data from the server.
It’s throttled. You literally can’t abuse it.

Well, i mean all Addons use API, but there is an Addon called “Trade Skill Master” ( TSM for short )that makes using it take less time. Basically what TSM does is show you some of the prices and lets you put it up for the same or cheaper and remembers the price you put it up for, it is just a QOL addon if anything.

Throttling doesn’t happen because of back end load. Throttling happens on an individual basis to individual clients, independent of anything else going on. Throttling prevents excessive back end load.
The back end being broken, what do you expect? The back end isn’t failing because too many people are using it or are misusing it. The back end is failing because it is inadequate to handle its very predictable load. Blizzard has failed at everything so far during this release. SNAFU as usual.
It’s not addons. TSM has been around forever and the AH never had this many problems. This isn’t the first expansion. It’s just the worst one as far as AH functioning. This is on blizz. Idk what they need to fix or how many bots they need to ban or what but they better do something.
I make my gold primarily on the AH now, no i dont use tsm, since professions got stupid and complicated. My gold making has been severely impacted the last couple days. I do use a sniping addon sometimes but honestly everything moves so fast right now I end up making more just buying manually.
